Cream soda and cake batter on the nose, very sweet,

Initial taste is OK but this Blanco has a fake vanilla, cake batter component to it that screams additive. If this is the base, it's easy to see how the Añejo gets it's flavor profile. Meh

On the sweeter more astringent side for a blanco. Easy finish but lacking complexity. Sipping it neat but thinking it would be very good in a herb forward cocktail or maybe with some lime and tonic.

Sweet, more sweet and ends sweet almost fake sugary drink

Omg, the aroma is over-the-Top vanilla and cake batter frosting. This is not natural. Aroma and flavor are fake in my opinion.

Strong buttery scent, smooth taste. Not too sweet, light spice and earthiness.

Vanilla on the nose. The same on the palette with a growing bite of pepper on the finish. Probably good for cocktails or a summertime sipper.

Very sweet on the nose, with roasted agave, chocolate, coconut, and vanilla dominating. There are also some floral and herbal aromas, along with butter, melon, and cake batter. Smells almost artificially sweet, there's something about it that seems off. Flavor is very similar with coconut, vanilla, and chocolate as the strongest flavors. I can taste some agave in there, also more of the melons and cake batter from the aroma. This one's too sweet for me, bordering on artificial.

Smooth with a spicy taste

Adding a bit of water or drink with a cube of ice tremendously changes the experience of this Tequila. It blooms with a smooth buttery toffee aroma and flavor masked when drinking neat. It changed my pallet for this wonderfully packaged blend.

Good smell though it has a slight alcohol/burn scent. Flavor was nicer then the smell, smooth. I can’t pick out specific flavors or smells yet so I won’t even try. New to tequila in the last year from years of Vodka. Finish was smooth, no alcohol burn and lasted for a nice time without making me pucker up at all. For me I know I am starting with high reviews because these are some of my favorites I have tried the last year of of my journey and have purchased. So I know I like em!

I think this is a solid silver. Mellow agave and slightly sweet. Not remarkable but solid and I would buy again.

This silver is amazing. Very unique. The chocolate flavor is very apparent without being over done and so so smooth. Really enjoyable

Subtle aroma of agave and somewhat sweet/fruity. Taste is good with a solid mouthfeel. The finish is nice and extremely smooth for a blanco. No complaints here, just nothing incredibly complex about the tasting which might not be to some people’s liking. Bought on sale for $30, which helps the value score.

this tequila has an interesting aroma: coconut. but how can it be? then it is sweet. not candy but still not normal. the smoothness does taste natural neither. lots of people may like it a lot. I don't.

Smooth considering no wood. Coconut is very forward. Not a complex blanco but would drink again.

not a real big nose on this one but the agave is there. It packs alot of flavor for a Blanco. Vanilla and coconut compliment the agave nicely. medium silky smooth finish.

Not sure I've encountered a blanco as silky on the palate. Coconut, vanilla, and white chocolate- bright yet rich. So much roundness and complexity- all without any help from a barrel. Memorable and distinctive.

Best on the rocks or chilled!

Review #293 - Riazul Tequila Silver Blanco

After tasting the anejo from Riazul, I've been dying to taste the rest of the line. The anejo is so good, that I really wanted to try the base that they started with. Is it as good as the aged one, or is the secret in the barrel?

Riazul tequila entices and entrances with bold and unique flavors

I have been looking forward to tasting Riazul tequila for several months now. The brand is working very hard (and succeeding) to gain exposure and building strong brand loyalty in social media circles via Twitter and Facebook and is very active in the Hou
