On the nose, Oak and caramel, masking cooked agave underneath. Some pepper. Whiskey. A touch of vanilla and apple. Fruity. Some citrus. Not bad. On the palate, Sweet agave, and something almost like apple juice. Caramel and vanilla, light whiskey notes. Really not bad, I can’t find any flaws. It’s not mind blowing, but it is pretty solid. I hear there’s diffuser juice mixed in, and that may be the case, but this is just a really easy drinking, clean and perfectly fine tequila. I can see the appeal. It’s got no heat, some tasty flavors, perfect for sipping or shooting, if you’re into that. I may be a little contrarian here, but I think it’s got a place. If you’re gonna drink a super commercial Cuervo product, this would be the one I’d suggest. I think it lacks that distinct diffuser chemical funk.
Nothing great has a big creamy mouth feel. Lots of oak. Almost like a burnt oakiness mixed with a slight bit a vanilla. Taste slightly artificial
This is a vintage Green Label Gran Centenario añejo, from back in the day...Not what you will find on store shelves today. Nose: Ripe red, jammy fruit. A warm vanilla and baking spice blend. Some orange zest. A little “snap” to the nose. Rich and fruity round oak aromas. The oak notes creep up in magnitude as it opens up. Flavors: Oily, spicy, peppery. A Cointreau note. Dark ripe cherries. Vanilla, nutmeg and leather. It’s like an opulent dessert with kick. Finishing impressions: Not crazy complex, but has a pleasing warm, comfortable style.
Average Anejo, whiskey like on the palate. Light in style. Prefer the repo from this producer for the money.
Rated blind. Some nice subtle chocolate notes the the aroma.
Gotta say I like this tequila, great use of oak and blending to achieve a good balance. This product could be an easy stand in for bourbon when recruiting new agave lovers.
Green Label
Sooooo much better and different than the current blue label. Nice crisp aromas of citrus , agave and vanilla/caramel. Those carry over into the flavors with a bit of alcohol and chocolate. Nice lingering finish with little burn compared to current version. This is actually the juice that got us started on this awesome agave journey. Getting harder to find but still some bottles out there for around 60 bucks or so, even from collectors. Great "old school" juice IMHO.
From a 3L green label bottle @ 38% ABV. This is very nice with a spicy finish. Cooked agave and barrel spice (caramel, cinnamon or clove and vanilla) on the nose. Nice mouthfeel but not oily or viscous. Some alcohol numbing even at the lower proof. Good long finish. Proves that Cuervo can make good tequila when they want to.
Awesome. Butter. Smooth. Fruit. Love it.
Nice agave aroma over sweet barrel.
In the aroma, there is a noticeable presence of yeast funk accompanied by hints of oak, brandy, molasses, and cooked agave. Upon tasting, wood notes take center stage, complemented by distinct yeast and molasses tones, along with flavors of cooked agave, dark cherry, and orange citrus. Subtle earthy undertones, light spice, and a touch of alcohol contribute to the warm taste, while hints of cocoa add depth to the overall profile. A lingering peppery sensation is present on the tongue. The finish has persistent flavors of molasses and cooked agave, accompanied by a light saccharine note and enduring orange citrus nuances. The peppery sensation on the palate continues throughout the tasting experience, providing a consistent presence from start to finish.
Aroma : caramel scent & agave with a hint of alcohol linger Flavor : Sweet caramel at first and it’s almost hydrating and slight pepper to orange peel taste Finish is citrus with a little burn. I got this bottle at a manager sale of $25.89. I would say this is a great start to añejos because it only gets better from here.
Odor: sweet, smoky, pepper, strong alcohol Flavor: very sweet, pepper, vegetation Finish: warming finish, grass. Develops into fruity finish.
Smooth, caramel, caramelized banana, old fashioned, dry.
Bright in appearance for an añejo, a sunshine yellow hue. Sweet and smoky on the nose. Oak cask on the front of the tongue. Subtle caramel mid-palate. Floral sweet in the back. Moderately smooth in the mouth. Light, sweet finish with oak ghosts. I was expecting more body for an añejo but as it’s autoclaved, I should give it more leeway. It’s approachable and pleasant for folks who might not be tequila drinkers but it’s ultimately overpriced at the restaurant—a single for $19; the bottle at Total Wine, however, looks like a fair deal at $33. Would drink it again but might choose something else if there are other options.
LOT- 032 23 View: straw, amber yellow, golden, tears suitable for 38%. Freshly served: Scent; lots of wood, astringency, pineapple, piloncillo, cooked agave. Flavor: pineapple, citrus, a little bitter. Little expressive and complex. You taste the barrel. I let it rest for 10 minutes. There is not much change.
An excellent sipping tequila
Great by itself or in a cocktail.
Vanilla and wood on the nose. Good agave and vanilla initial but a bit sharp on the finish. Not as smooth as others in same price category.
Great aroma of oak, cinnamon, vanilla, butter, citrus and agave. Less depth on the palate. Agave and citrus with a bit less of that vanilla and butter. Really pleasant finish with a lingering buttery agave taste.
very reedy and less agave. herbaceous.
Oak, mineral, better with chips and guac
The price and profile are on par for this anejo. On the nose there is woodiness and good aroma. On the palate, it is smooth and the wood comes through with distinction. The finish is nice and overall and easy sipper with good flavor and pricing.

This was a green label and was quite delicious. Would recommend over the newer offering.
