Aroma : Agave, alcohol, vanilla, cinnamon and oak . Nothing too complex here. Taste : Alcohol and agave with a fair amount of vanilla and oak. Again nothing too complex here. To me it seemed like the notes got "mixed" together or something of the like. It might have something to do with the oddly sweet nature of the vanilla notes. Finish : Finish is somewhat short with a bit of spice and alcohol, with some vanilla notes here as well. This is a pretty basic tequila. Not bad, but it's not something I would drink straight again. I'm sure it would go well in a margarita though.

Still quite a bit of bitterness off the hop but the oak treatment seems to have weeded out the sweet agave I love so much! Warm butterscotch finish is nice but I’ll stick with the Blanco.

Nose: Bright agave, fruit and floral notes. Palate: Initially, semi viscous, pepper and sweet agave. Secondary spices, mint and trace almond emerge. Mexican 38%.

Sweet aroma, there is a slight burn on the finish. Definitely a good value tequila that can stand on its own.

Not as good as the blanco. Too much heat on the finish, with little flavor.

For the price this is a go to tequila. I've had more expensive that are way inferior Espolon.

Not as good as the blanco. Missing some of that agave character. A scoche smoother, perhaps.

This didn't seem to have any remarkable traits to it. I felt like it wasn't bad but it wasn't blowing me away with new experiences. This would be fantastic for cocktails.

Given how easy it is to find, Espolon is sort of the go-to tequila for a gathering on short notice. You can mix it or sip it neat. It's good, but not good enough to be my one and only shelf stocker.

Tequila de sabor intenso. Buena opción para un trago ocasional.

What can I say, supposedly this tequila is made the wrong way, column stills and autoclaves, totally screwed up. But, some how this tequila came out of production damn good, you get agave, vanilla and pepper, no but taste on the end. I keep it on hand, for visitors.

Very little peppery or alcoholic taste. Strong caramel overtones with a bit of honey on the tongue.

Nose: Rich agave with a light undertone of alcohol. There is a bit of a woody smell too although it complements the profile rather than take the reins. Taste: The best way I could describe this is inoffensive. Nice tingle of agave and some oak. Nothing overly sweet, just a mild bite of alcohol that overlays a caramel undertone. Reminiscent of a really old Werther’s original you find in your pocket on a cold rainy day walking back from the bank. Finish: Strangely effervescent. Maybe because there wasn’t any one strong flavor in the taste, the alcohol/flavor profile has a light bubbling on the tongue.
