Telsón Blanco - This Los Altos tequila uses close cuts agave that are cooked in an Autoclave under high pressure before entering a roller mill. It’s then fermented in stainless steel tanks without fibers using deep well water. After fermentation it’s twice distilled in stainless steel stills and bottles at 40% abv. - The nose provides some hints of fresh agave and bright lemon / lime citrus along with some alcohol. After opening up I get a creamy almond note with a hint of sweetness. - The sweetness hits first followed by that fresh agave from the nose and some pepper that quickly follows. There’s some slight green melon and honeysuckle. The finish is sweet and short. - This tequila would do well in tequila cocktails with its sweet agave taste profile. 40 USD
Tastes like Coca-Cola. Much too sweet for me to enjoy.
Nose is like that of a perfume. Flavor is too sweet for my liking. Color seems to indicate it's aged in a wine barrel.
