Nose: agave cooked / vanilla/ pepper/ earth / vegetal / pear / citrus / bell pepper/ tea / baking spice Taste: agave cooked / vanilla/ peppermint/ cinnamon/ pear / lime / anise / tea / baking spice / honey / molasses/ cream soda Finish: light viscosity mouthfeel that allows the peppermint note to coat the palate at the finish creating a very enjoyable experience/ lingering agave, vanilla, and peppermint keep on providing flavor for long after the last swallow This reposado is a very nice pour that brings forth some balance but still lets the sweet/pepper contrast play out through the whole tasting experience. The nose seems weak, but there are detectable aromas that match up on the flavor well.
Nose: Sweet lemon pepper with mild herbal characteristics. Floral undertones with rose and lavender. Palate: Great mouth feel and texture. Mild numbing. Sweet Agave, lemon citrus which evolves into a peppery and spicy finish. Vanilla and oak presence. Very nice mouth feel and natural sweetness. Mild numbing and drying effect. Great pour!
Nice nose with little barrel, palate isn’t bad but not my profile
AgedAgave Select Barrel
Very nice repo with great barrel notes. Maybe it is the three barrels but it really brings forward the barrel spices. Nice cooked agave on the nose as well as a floral scent. The taste also brings forward the cooked agave, the barrel spices, cinnamon and a nice honey finish. The finish is rather long lasting with a nice agave presence.
Love this brand! Everything they make is delicious, and this reposado meets that expectation. This reposado is delicious! give it time to open up. it gets better and better. The nose is amazing! cooked agave, barrel spices, some cinnamon, floral and fruity. The palate is agave forward, barrel spices, anise, cinnamon and mild oak, which I like as I'm not a fan of overly oaky expressions, and this has just the right amount for me. The Finish is nice and long with warmth, sweet agave and anise. Chava, Steve and the crew hit another one out of the park with this one!
Nose: agave, dried stone fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, floral, and brine Flavor: cooked agave, anise bitterness, vanilla, baking spices, cinnamon, earthy, caramel and honey Finish: long with some spice and sweetness
I love Repos that taste more like a blanco than an Anejo (minimal oak). This repo with a mix of barrels has just enough oak influence to remind you this is not a blanco. Cinnamon and agave sweetness followed by that Michoacán spice I love.
A beautiful blend of three barrels, cooking, spice, dried fruit, light layer of caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. A slight brine and earthy notes. Lingering finish.
Nose is blanco+. Tons of agave character. Incredible flavor. Subtle sweetness and beautiful balance. Long finish, especially for the relatively minimal aging. This is a blanco-lovers reposado, and one of my new all-time favorites.
Nose- Brine, honey and a floral sweetness. Moth feel is velvety smooth with cooked agave, brine, and cinnamon. Finish- cooked agave with a salty brine undertone. Another win from Legado and NOM1123
Floral mineral aromas with a touch of leather. Flavors of sweet agave, cinnamon, honey, salt water, slight anise. Great legs. Barely any oak, nice and light for a Reposado. Excellent!
Aroma: lots of cooked agave, minerals, and citrus up front. A faint amount of baking spices on the backend. Taste: matches the aroma very closely. Strong on agave, minerals, citrus zest, pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The baking spices complement the agave beautifully. I’m not sure how long this has been rested, but it’s one of the best repos I’ve ever tasted. Finish: nice and long. Pepper and agave all the way through. I rated this after my 2nd or third glass a few days after opening the bottle. The first taste was solid but you could tell the flavors were muted and needed a little time to open up. This is an absolute gem.
Strong cooked agave upfront! Followed by caramel, cinnamon, mineral, and floral notes! Great nose! Palate: cooked agave, cinnamon, vegetal, mineral, citrus, floral, and light barrel influence! Medium/short finish. Very well balanced! Chava and Steve killed it.
Light amber color Aroma: agave, black pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, & floral notes Taste: Cinnamon, agave, vanilla & floral Finish: nice lingering finish with cinnamon, agave, black pepper. $65 from old town very balanced Reposado tequila
The more I drink this brand the more I like it! I really appreciate the samples that were sent to me! On the nose this when I get cooked agave a lot of pepper earth and some baking spices On the taste I get cooked agave and peppermint and cinnamon and a little bit of cream soda On the finish it has a great mouth feel that cinnamon comes in really strong with a lingering agave and a little bit of peppermint ! For a Repo I got very little barrel notes and an unbelievable flavor
Agave, oak and pepper on the nose and taste. Smooth, nice reposado. Used Chisholm Trail Standard proof Jarrito glass.
Third best of the legado line, but still good! Was much better after 2 weeks of bottle being open
Nose. Nice cooked agave caramel very light wood. Citrus and wet cement. Taste. Cooked agave of course burnt toffee and anise again carried over from repo. Salty and mineral finish. Again slight pepper tongue, tingle Very light repo aged only 4 months Feel like it loses some of the greatness of the agave from the blanco but doesn’t punch up the barrel enough to compensate.
Lote 470 05/12/23 Aroma: Light soft aroma, some honey and spice, maybe clove Flavor: also smooth flavor with agave notes and some toffee Mouthfeel: medium thickness in the mouth with not much alcahol burn, the smoothness continues Finish: medium finish that continues the flavor Color: very light straw This is a great, smooth, and easy drinking Reposado. I don't think I'd ever tire sipping it.
Nose: you get the agave, baking spice, cinnamon, vegetal scents, light barrel notes. Palate: Agave, black pepper, cinnamon, baking spices, oak, cinnamon Finish: Better tasting repos out there IMO, slight burn, feel in my chest still burning.
SiB Tributo a Mi Abuelo.
Aroma: Agave, Floral, Minty, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Oak, Herbal, Minerals, Fruity Earthy,White Pepper Taste: Agave, Fruity, Floral, Vanilla, Mint, Herbal, Oak, Anise, Minerals, Earthy, White Pepper Finish: Very nice, sweet Agave, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Light Oak, with some Fruity and Floral notes ride this out. This, in my opinion, is the best Reposado coming out of 1123 as a normal offering!
This is an exceptional Repo. Great depth of flavor and complexity. Nice value too.

Nose: Agave, Oak, Almond, Anise, Wet Cement, Minerality, Leather, Vanilla, and Cinnamon Mouthfeel: Medium to Full-bodied Palate: Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Herbs and Minerality Finish: Agave, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Black Pepper, Arugula I find this to be a pleasant sipper. As much as I am confident about the quality of most products made at 1123, I find that I am more picky and less confident about their aged selections as they can totally be a hit or miss for me. This was a bullseye. Such a great combination here of savory, sweet, herbal aromas and flavors.
