This blanco left me confused. Right off the bat, the nose was off-putting having an overwhelming note of sex wax, as if I walked into a Ron Jon’s surf shop. I also found coconut, suntan lotion, an intense cheesy funk, and an artificial fruit I couldn’t put my finger on somewhere between a dragonfruit & a strawberry. The palate was admittedly better, but it still tasted altered to fit a certain “tropical” cheesy profile. The finish left my palate with a bitter sugar cookie note that I did not like. The gaudy bottle is a bit of an eye sore too. Padre Azul clearly took inspiration from the early 2000’s fashion trends of Affliction with a hefty skull top to boot.

Aroma very weak and faint but pull out some light agave but you can almost smell sugar and a rubbery tire store smell. Flavor of sweetness up front, some anise and artificial vanilla flavoring. Something I might put on a flask and drink with a hunting buddy but not an everyday sipper nor would ever make it to my shelf.

A fun blanco, a bit too sweet for me to sip neat, I would love to try in a mix drink, I’m sure it would blend well.

Sooo sweet. I couldn't finish the taste poured at Monterey Tequila and Cuisine.

Really on the sweet side, it’s got an earthy undertone that is unique. I’m not in love with it.

NOM 1466 | Had black stuff floating in my pour. (50ml)

NOM 1466 | Slightly funky Agave, yes but it’s not a Tequila for me. And for that price you can get Arette, Olmeca Altos, Ocho or Fortaleza instead.

NOM 1614 | Was checking out the bottle, in the bottom saw skin flakes floating around. They need to filter the tequila!

Aspartame sweetness, aspartame bitter finish, spearmint, watery agave. Weirdest flavors in any tequila I’ve had. I can’t believe they let this stuff into the USA. Rather shoot myself in the sack with a BB gun than taste this again. All this for 70+ dollars too!!!!

Sweet blanco that doesn’t ooze agave, but it is in the profile of the other expressions. It was a great sipper and I can see this being a good one to bring to a party, for flavor and the aesthetics of the bottle. Overpriced for a base blanco, but it is worth it to flex or have something cool to bring to a party.

aroma: weak nose but some fresh agave notes coming out. taste: comes on sweet, with a definite artificial flavor. Fruitiness comes through, especially pineapple. the finish short with some lingering vanilla notes.

I punished my tastebuds so you don’t have to. One of the heavier additive brands I’ve tried. You can find way better for half the price

Sight sour milk, leather aroma. Taste notes include vanilla, artificial sweeteners and bitter on finish. Lacking any decent viscosity. Quite disappointing for the price. Not my avenue of flavour profile in tequila. NOM 1466

I sampled this from a 50ml bottle. Very sweet on the nose and taste. This has the most vanilla smell and taste out of all the blancos I have tried so far. The finish is kind of off putting for me. Also, the price point affects score. My wife tried it and said it does not smell like tequila and to her it had a maple syrup type smell.

Aroma is sweet with vanilla notes. Light on the palate with sweet vanilla notes with a harsh finish and bad aftertaste.

Soft earthy agave and flowers in the aroma. Caramelized agave, pepper and molasses in the taste. The molasses lingers into the finish a little longer than I would like. Still not a bad tequila.

A very different taste than what I’m use to from my tequilas, a little sweet for me, doesn’t make me wince or anything, the bottles is cool.

This smell of ammonia. Overly sweet watery mouthfeel. Medicinal, short and flat. Will not recommend, drink or buy again. Maybe they should also put some crossbones on that skull stopper, lol!

It does taste great. But I am not a fan of the manipulated tequilas. If you are into that and have some money to spend you could probably rate this in the high 80s. Very mellow and sweet.
