July 2012 bottling at 38% ABV. Nose: Ripe caramelized agave, with vegetal undertones, dry carbonic like minerals, lime and a brief lactic note. Fruity and floral as well. Flavor: Agave and spice forward. Spicy black pepper, cinnamon and cloves. Something in a floral vein occasionally popping into the picture. Some bitterness. Finish: Pepper, vanilla and anise on the final retrohales.
Peppery, a tad too sweet but nice to sip
Some floral notes on the nose. In the mouth this is creamier than I thought it would be with roast agave and some nice pepper and fennel. Finish is short with some alcohol on the tongue. Better than I expected.
Aroma has cinnamon, agave, mushroom, green apple, and some alcohol. Overall not bad.
Oaky
Bottle: LT-E 0CW-03, 21-ENE-23, 10:56 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked agave, fruity, banana, vanilla, flowers, lavender, cinnamon, mint, cream soda, citrus, lime, herbal, rosemary, anise, and black pepper…nice opening Palate: Cooked agave, black and white pepper, hot cinnamon candies, vanilla, citrus, lime, menthol, coconut, flowers, lavender, dry earth, almond, brine/salinity, and clove…a bit more robust than the nose Finish: Vanilla, black pepper, cinnamon, alcohol, and clove…long, tongue-numbing, and medium viscosity Overall: The neck pour was initially pretty sweet. After working through part of the bottle, some more complex flavors developed and the sweetness balanced out. If you’re looking for a tequila that does a good job of introducing some complexity without being unapproachable in the $30-$40 range, this does a really decent job.
lightly sweet Agave a bit of salinity/ brine.
Lote: LT-NCB-04, bottled on 23-JUL-12, marbete is from 2011. Aroma: cooked agave, slightly briny, herbaceous, 30 minutes in a glass i smell a whiff of vanilla. Palate: cooked agave, it has a plastic flavor/smell in the retronasal that does dissipate but is not pleasant, briny, alcohol sensation is medium. Finish is medium to long, briny agave persists and at the very end the plastic aroma is still slightly present. The plastic flavor/smell might have come from the fun stopper.
Picoso en nariz y se aprecia agave maduro
Tried in Puerto Vallarta 2023. Not as tasty as the Repo but still decent.
Aroma is fruity and sweet agave Taste consists of pepper agave and citrus Finish is short
Not a huge fan. OK Tequila, not too peppery. Wouldn't jump to recommend.
very smooth going down tbh
Soft touch to it- smooth and citrusy
Aroma: spruce, vanilla and cinnamon Taste: pepper, agave
A very floral taste, but goes very well with a margarita!
Fruity on the nose Smooth Not oaky
Peppery finish, very floral
Menthol Herbal Peppercorn Overall nice Blanco
The bottle that I have is from 2013 tasty
Green Curtis Oily texture
Lots of floral notes, easy drinking blanco Light nose, with hints of agave and alcohol
Very good. Flowery flavour. Much better than the Anejo. $44 CDN in Calgary, Alberta which is an excellent price. On sale - typically $75+. Second opinion a month and ten ounces later... This is VERY good tequila. Delish. Floral. Mucho agave. Pepper and citrus. Only criticism is that it has a bit of an astringent/aspartamey finish.
pretty smooth, agave forward, kind day watery too
