Aromas of cooked agave, alcohol, minerals and salt/brine. Flavor of cooked agave, black pepper, brine, vegetal and artificial sweetener. Finish doesn't last long.

Basic agave aroma with some sweetness. Flavor follows the aroma and adds fruit with little black pepper. Finish is light and very short. Entry tequila for new comers.

This just doesn’t taste like tequila, it’s chalk full of additives

Nice nose - pop of agave and not too hot at all. Very pleasing . Taste is, uh, artificially sweet. Cotton candy. Hot finish. This isn’t a sipper for me. I’d mix it.... but for 37$ @old town tequila I actually wouldn’t . I’d get something for better value

Cooked agave on the nose and palate, but nothing here to wow me. It was nicely oily, but it was waaaay too sweet.

Nose: some fruit and minerals, nothing very notable. Flavor: graham cracker sweetness with bitterness. Some unidentifiable notes - not in a good way.

I ordered several bottles through raretequilas.com, and although my shipment arrived late, I appreciated their gesture of including a complimentary single airplane bottle of Cava de Oro. The aroma was very subtle, featuring only a faint hint of sweet vanilla—the only redeeming aspect. On tasting, however, the flavor was overwhelmingly sweet and entirely lacking the authentic agave character that is essential to true tequila. In my opinion, it doesn't taste like tequila at all. Overall, this product is comparable to, if not worse than, Casamigos, and I would not recommend it.

Very sweet…almost an artifical flavor

Living only 90 mins from town of Tequila we have been fortunate to visit many tequileras including Cava de Oro. I want to like their tequilas (and I do a bit) but they are not for everyone. They’re expensive and too sweet for my palate… and NOT Additive Free. Some of my friends love them because they are smooth (and sweet). I’m one and done… never to a second glass because of the lingering aftertaste even on this Plata (blanco).

You won’t find a more interesting Blanco/Silver. Give this to your friends who don’t like tequila- they’ll be pleasantly surprised

Cooked agave on the nose along with some floral notes. The taste is very smooth with sweet agave and citrus. The finish is soft and velvety with pepper. I will buy this again. My new favorite blanco.

Review #189 - Cava de Oro Tequila Blanco

My first experience with the Cava de Oro brand. I had now knowledge of anything about it, but the price was right and I liked the hand blown bottles.
