Light scents of cooked agave, with notes of dried figs and garden herbs. A pleasant sweetness across the palate, with a light flavor similar to those present on the nose. The finish is a burst of fresh herbs, primarily basil, mixed with white pepper. Easily the most “herbal” of any tequila I’ve tasted, which makes it interesting.
Story: The reposado expression of the ArteNOM series. Aroma: Honey, clear as day. Agave comes after, intermingled with vanilla, slightly floral. Pineapple. Definitely some ethanol, and a hint of butter cookie. Palate: Cooked agave, very prominent but soft vanilla. A gorgeous sweetness, and definitely a bit oily. It’s got a little heat on it, but It’s so soft, and I get a caramel note that comes in and out. Very long finish. Verdict: Buy. Absolutely love it. I have been lucking out with reposados lately, but I use the app a lot to find what I might like, so I can’t say I’m surprised. Still, this is a stunning reposado, I am very happy to have it in my collection and i have a strong feeling it won’t last long.
Vastly superior to General Gorostieta. Packs way more flavour and has a funky element that I really liked. A light reposado in the wood notes but heavy on the floral and funk. Very nice.
Tequila ArteNOM, from Las Joyas del Agave, is unique in that it draws tequila from several different distilleries, acting like a curator and showing off the “house style” of different distilleries.
