Nose: A very unique grilled pineapple, butterscotch, tart lemon/orange entrance. Followed up with the scents reminding me of Grandma’s dank root cellar - very earthy and holding flinty mineral elements. Balanced barrel spices complement the up front agave aromas. The faintest hint of oak. Flavor: Silky, oily, buttery. Agave forward natural sweetness, robust pepper & spice, fruit, a muted pencil shavings note and creamy butterscotch all blend in a very balanced fashion. This tequila has character that doesn’t get in its own way.

Agave from beginning to end on the Repo. Not saying this is a bad thing, just very forward. Herbal notes and an almost sweet finish. Pepper is present but not over powering.

ArteNOM 1414 I smell some cooked agave along with faint vanilla and caramel. The nose is light but there’s a lot going on in this glass. The flavors aren’t turned down. I taste sweet cooked agave along with creamy caramel, pepper and white oak. The finish is vey nice. The flavors linger on the back of my pallet. It’s a pleasant sipper.

Review: ArteNom Tequila

Tequila ArteNOM, from Las Joyas del Agave, is unique in that it draws tequila from several different distilleries, acting like a curator and showing off the “house style” of different distilleries.
