Vessel: CT Jarrito Nose: Minerality, Stone Fruit, Agave, Anise, Citrus, Grass Palate: Concrete, Jalapeno, Grass Finish: Agave, Anise, Stonefruit, Herbal, Hay This brand seems to knock it out of the park everytime. I think this might be my favorite Lagrimas Blanco since the Palo Verde. Great addition to the line up! I'm excited to try the Reposado soon
The aroma of minerality is unmistakable with agave and subtle sweet potato essence, accompanied by a hint of vanilla, a touch of mint, and a gentle nuttiness with wood undertones. There is a trace of salt, though it never leans into brininess. On the palate, cedar emerges first, distinct and ever-present. Crisp mint and lemongrass follow behind minerality and citrus. The cooked agave is present in scent and taste. A warm, roasted pecan note develops gradually, adding a toasted quality. The finish lingers with lime citrus and a fresh green note, both carried by the persistent minerality. A touch of dryness appears toward the end. “vine, vi, conquisté” should be the motto of this particular release.
