This has a dark color, but the aromas are very muted. I get a lot of raisin and dried fruit aromas. (Rated blind.)
This extra-aged tequila has notes of agave, oak, cherry, honey, and a touch of smoke. The beautiful bottle is hand painted by local artisans, no two are alike. An after-dinner sipper. Not my favorite producer, but this was a welcome gift a friend picked up for me in Mexico.
Deep bronze color. Nose: Red ripe fruit. Subtle smokey oak, vanilla and spice, a hint of earthiness. Flavor: Creamy vanilla, cinnamon and cloves, jammy round fruit notes, balanced oak and medium pepper. Finish: Some bourbon influence, silky mouth feel and lingering light pepper. An after dinner type of tequila.
