Received this as a gift so I couldn’t rate the value. Lots of vanilla and caramel on the nose, but not in a manipulated way. Mostly oak barrel flavors with little agave coming through. Interesting, almost whiskey flavor. The bottle is really unique, and the real star here.
Nose: Nearly overripe dark fruit and caramelized agave, cloaked in a light dusting of nutmeg and cloves. Nice round aromas of caramel and vanilla - with a contrasting note of thyme. Also, there is an additional floral/fruit undertone. Flavor: Caramel, toffee, and vanilla with a hint of barrel oak woodiness. Oily, honey like mouth feel with a spicy kick. A slight, pleasant pepper burn on the tongue. Finish: A pleasant sipper. Appropriate for after dinner. Not stellar - but the Huichol (Wixártari) artwork is stunning!
Heavy Caramel on the nose and some leather tannins, sweet. Oak and vanilla. Short finish but very interesting.
This is freaking delicious, doesn’t matter if you like Tequila or not, this is a well constructed spirit by any standard. Rich and sumptuous, this is a perfect way to end an evening.
