This limited edition still strength bottle has been beautifully etched. Only 1000 were produced. 50.69% ABV, 101+ proof, 700ml. This was made with agaves from El Arenal in Tequila Valley. They fermented with fibers and the tequila rested in stainless steel for 2 years. While this tequila was produced in the southern highlands it has many aromas from the valley agaves they used. The nose is full of earthy and vegetal notes. There are some strong herbal notes of sage and rosemary. The cooked agave punches through along with some limestone and pleasant alcohol vapors. There are some fainter notes of cilantro and lemon zest. Let this one open up. This one has a bold taste. The cooked agave sweetness punched through but it’s accompanied by the herbal notes that are present in the nose. The alcohol delivers a nice intensity of flavors. This one is savory and full-bodied. Some fresh jalapeno shows up right before the finish. The finish lingers due to the higher proof. The agave sweetness is there but the herbs and minerals last the longest. Overall this is a bold but cohesive and balanced still strength blanco. This is a fun sipper but I’m tempted to make a killer ranch water with it. It’s worth buying if you find one if you like high-proof blancos.

On the nose I get a lot of cooked agave some earth and gravel. Taste sweet and a little sour with a great cooked agave Finish is long and spicy
