Crushed bottle 1 with some friends, more detailed tasting notes will be written on the backup bottle. It is delicious, I do remember that.

Aroma: I get some floral, cherry, oak, minerality, hazelnut, caramel and berry notes Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied Palate: Rose, Berry, Oak, Cinnamon and Cherry Finish: Berry, Minerality, Cinnamon and Clove. This one was slighly more enjoyable for me than the heritage blanco. I think the extra aging balances out those floral and red wine aromas and flavors.

Barrel and agave nose, it’s nice. Slight bitter on the palate but pepper finish. Must be the wine casks. Opens up nicely once sitting in the glass but also the neck pour.

Nose if agave, oak, caramel and vanilla. Flowers. Sweet agave and barrel notes. Very nice finish. I’d recommend this one.

Nose: vanilla /plum / agave / fruity /pineapple/ banana/ citrus / floral/ chocolate/ Taste: sweet agave / vanilla/ pepper/ caramel/ pineapple/ lime / tea / orange blossom / nutmeg/ maple/ Finish: sweet, clean fresh water feeling - only the slightest bit of viscosity. Smooth easy finish. This anejo is smooth and elegant, with just a little touch of spicy pepper. The Bordeaux barrel is a little lost with the pepper and bittersweet cooked agave notes coming through more heavily than expected (after drinking the reposado).

Tried this at lotecito Dec 1, 2023 Really enjoyed it. I thought it was well balanced. Got some pear, agave, barrel notes, a little fizz (perhaps the yeast). Dry finish. Very enjoyable. Not sure of the cost so I rated based on average value

A surprise offering from an outstanding Rosa blanco producer. Balanced, cooked sweet agave. Flavor profile leaning more towards barrel notes of apricot, cooking spice and light caramel.

Lote 453 10/11/23 Aroma: Sweet agave, toasted bread, some spice and caramel Flavor: very similar to the nose with some vinous and plum characteristics Mouthfeel: big body and very little alcohol burn with a slight astringency Finish: long lingering caramel sweetness Color: light amber I feel the vinous characteristics might put off some tequila fanatics, but I really enjoy this tequila.

A unique tequila with an aroma of fruit, spice, and agave. Sipping brings warm oak, butter, cinnamon, and pepper.

On the nose: Agave, some herbal/mint type notes, sweetness and earth. On the palate: Agave, pepper, a pitted fruit/cherry esque thing going on. Really good!

LOTE 453, bottled on 101123, tasted on 2-13-24. Color: yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light stone fruit, light peach, aromatic light green vegetal note, wood note that has a sweet side therefore not astringent nor bothering, resinous sweetness. After 30 minutes in the glass a hint earthiness emerges. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, sweeter on the palate, the longer it stays in the glass the more evident the wood note becomes, anise, hint of acidity. Good sweet sour and acidic balance. Spicy wood note. Finish is medium to long, hint of sweet cooked agave with stone fruit sweetness, light wood note and a hint of earthiness persists. Note to self: drink this tequila sooner than later after being served.

I guess I’ve been spoiled by the Cazcanes Blanco and Repo Rosas at a higher proof because I’m really missing that here. However, that’s the only negative. Lots of wine barrel notes, fruit, baking spices, but still the agave shines through. Nose is peppery and ethanol. Some mint and stone fruit. Very easy to drink, which is unfortunate since I only have 2 bottles of this.

One of the best finishes for an añejo. Light pepper ending subtle explosions of barrel flavor. I hope this is something that’s a yearly release or part of their flagship line up. A new comer, friend of mine, to tequila did not believe this was tequila at first taste.
