Tasted the 40 ABV, a nice nose, flavors of cooked agave, white pepper, good minerality and citrus note. A light sweet after taste.

Lot 5 | Opens to a musty metallic nose at first. Tastes much better than it smells on a fresh pour. Let it air out and some earthy aromas enter. Tasting agave, pepper, minerals…kinda sweet and peppery.

An interesting pour to be sure. Cooked agave is here, with vegetal notes & tons of funk. A bit too funky for me though, and on the sweeter side. Still, I enjoyed this unique blanco quite a bit.

Would like to revisit, had at a bar (Nov ‘23) Great bottle design Cooked agave, simple framework. (Feb ‘24) Overall Impression: Entremanos Tequila offers a balanced experience, with a nuanced profile that showcases cooked agave alongside herbaceous notes and subtle minerality. While the finish may lack some depth, its overall composition is pleasing and approachable. It fades relatively quickly and lacks the complexity found in other aspects of the tequila. Conclusion: Entremanos Tequila offers a refined tasting experience characterized by its balanced profile, showcasing cooked agave, herbaceous notes, and subtle minerality. While the finish may fall short of expectations, its overall quality makes it a versatile choice for both casual sipping and creative cocktails.

My numerical score on ENTREMANOS is an aggregate average scoring of 4 lotes/ABVs. I was invited to try 4 different variations. There have been 4 lotes produced to date. 2 lotes to Spain, 1 lote to Mexico and 1 Lote to be determined…. Lote 1 MX (= 3rd production lote) notes follow: Aroma: A rather unassertive nose. Light cinnamon and spice. Green agave and canned pears. A glimmer of minerality. This has no glaring flaws. Just a bit tame. Flavor: Sweet. Bitter. Oily. Pepper slowly creeps into the equation. Cinnamon and a unique burnt like sweetness. 700 ml bottle 38% ABV $1000 pesos A great looking bottle on the back bar.

Nose: The first thing that hits you is cooked agave. It’s paired with a touch of minerality, which adds a refreshing edge. There’s also a slight hint of pine in the background, giving it a subtle, earthy character that makes the nose intriguing. Palate: On the palate, the citrus shines through. It’s bright and zesty, lifting the tequila’s natural sweetness. Anise adds a gentle, herbal note that blends well with the vanilla. The sweetness from the agave is prominent, but not overpowering. Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is light and smooth. It’s not too heavy, so it’s easy to sip and enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. Finish: The finish is light and clean, with notes of vanilla and a whisper of minerality. It’s not overly long. Overall, it’s a decent pour that I’d enjoy again given the chance.

The brand is owned by Guadalajara resident Alan Taylor. And Jimmy Villalobos Sauza is the Maestro Tequilero. Entremanos first made its appearance in both the European and Mexican markets before making the way Stateside. Production begins in the fields of at least 5 year old, ripe Agave. Selected and Harvested Piñas are then slow-cooked in an Autoclave. Cooked Agave is then macerated by Roller Mills with Deep Well Water being added. Fermentation is in stainless tanks with only Natural Wild Yeasts. When the fermentation process is completed, the musto is distilled twice in Stainless Pot Stills. It is then proofed down to 40 ABV with the same Deep Well Water before bottling. Aroma: The nose is full of Minerality and both Cooked and Raw Agave. A tremendous amount of Vegetal scent really takes over along with a strong herbal quality. A good amount of Black Pepper is present. A bit of Peppermint sticks out as well. There is also a light Citrus and Fruity take as well. Taste: The Cooked Agave with a Cinnamon and Black Pepper bite mixes with the Vegetal flavors. Herbs and Peppermint also come through very noticeablely. The Minerality really shines in the sips taken. A bit of Olive Brine blends in with a small amount of Raw Agave. There is a Citrus note that finally makes an appearance along with a little Pear. Finish: This finishes as a Valley Profile often does. Veggies and Black Pepper with the Cooked Agave. And Lingers with the additional Mint for a long ride! TMM--85 Salud!!!

Lot 4 Great Cooked agave flavor, with vegetal notes & lot of funk. I a nice warm spicy finish. It is very unique and I like it a lot! Lot 5 is a little different on the nose you get a little funkiness some fruitiness and some chocolate On the taste you get some anise some fruitiness some sweetness and cooked Agave . A little spicy as well The the finish builds with some sweetness and anise and a little spicy finish I think I like lot five a little better than lot four .

Aroma is strong to the nose but once you let it air out you really smell the agave, pepper, and hints of vanilla. Flavor is sweet at first and a tad spicy. The finish is very vegetable. I do enjoy this blanco. I came across this bottle for $39.99. I do recommend this bottle to any one wanting to really get that true tequila taste.

@TequilaSlingers Josh Rating: Nose: Minerality present with a small hint of agave sweetness. Fruity notes present as well. Taste: Nice cooked agave, with vegetal / herbaceous notes to it. Not much more than that for me. I like it, easy drinker with a nice long finish.
