Respectable Anejo, rested in French oak barrels, lightly sweet, barrel notes, touch of caramel, price is the problem

Tasted at a festival. I don’t think I’ll ever own this one but it was nice to taste it.

Beautiful notes of vanilla, caramel, and barrel spice on both nose and taste. Taste has baked agave, finish is short, with just a tinge of alcohol bite to it on the way out just to remind you that there’s alcohol in there. Loses massive points on the price, however. I wouldn’t pay more for this than Don Fulano Añejo, and I didn’t find it better, or to be more complex or better balanced. The incredibly expensive Vegas pour of this was wonderful, but a one-time thing for price alone.
