Nose: Somewhat mild nose. Agave with olive, vegetal, and grass. Fruity elements with grape, tropical fruit, and cider. Overall nice. Palate: Thick mouth feel. Incredible long lasting legs coat the glass. Rich agave with vanilla, light grass and herbal hints. Lavender and jasmine with grape skins. Slight drying effect with a lasting finish

Nose: Cooked Agave, Citrus, Plum, Jasmine, Pepper, Minerality MouthFeel: very light mouthfeel Palate: Very progressive orange, black pepper, Cinnamon Finish: Earth, Orange, Cinnamon, Agave I'm noticing a trend with Confianza. It seems that their expressions seem to linger and build upon themselves. This one and the reposado seem to progressively pick up more flavors. Confianza is the kind of tequila that rewards you for spending quality time with it.

This is a very serviceable blanco. 1414 produces great juice and this is one. Nose is clean with agave and earthiness. A little brine and earthiness. The tase is is also forward with agave and earthiness. I taste a bit of alcohol. The finish is nice with a good medium mouthfeel.

Nose: agave cooked / earth / minerals/ hint of pineapple/ green apple / grapefruit/ lemongrass/ lavender/ Taste: licorice/ sweet agave cooked / cinnamon/ vanilla/ earth / banana/ pear / apple / grapefruit/ lime / spearmint/ bell pepper/ nutmeg/ hint of tobacco/ cream soda Finish: very light viscous mouthfeel / lingering licorice and agave cooked tastes / very balanced finish with the sweet and cinnamon spicy flavors staying on for a while. This blanco has some beautiful balanced sweet and cinnamon spicy. What’s interesting to me is that some sips bring a really big sweet agave cooked flavor and other sips bring out a licorice taste. That the 2 work back and forth so well makes it a very engaging taste experience. Nice job NOM 1414 / Sergio Cruz!!!

Nice gentle agave nose. This is nice to nose. Subtle palate, not a lot going on but an easy sipper. Slight pepper on the finish. There isn’t anything complex going on here but for $29.99, I’m quite happy. Revisiting in 2025: dropping from 89 to 85

The initial aromas on the first night were delightful, with notes of agave, floral tones, ripe fruit, and a subtle hint of ethyl. However, it was on the second night that the delightful and heavy smell of minerality reminiscent of wet cement emerged, adding a deliciously inviting dimension. Upon tasting, the palate was greeted with soft cooked agave, earthy undertones, and a delightful blend of honey, banana, lightly salted butter and ginger flavor with a hint of spiciness. Subtle notes of light caramel and fresh minerality further enhanced the profile. This is a very light and easy to drink blanco. In the conclusion, the finish proved to be quite soft and pleasant, with lingering notes of sweet cooked agave, honey, and light earthiness. The fading ginger pepperiness, minerality, and refreshing wateriness added a silky ending.

Immediately after pouring, the aroma is vegetal with noticeable agave note. Quickly this evolves to a sweet, fruit (cherry, pear) aroma that is then settled down with a briny overlay. Flavor begins sweet (fruit) then brings in a soft heat. Not as bad as it sound but somewhat reminds me of cherry cola. Bitter almond at the exit leads to a relatively short finish. Fruity with a vinegar twang on the nose that really makes this one stand apart. I’m tasting plums with balsamic vinegar. Oily in the glass. This isn’t your typical tequila, and I’m warming up to it as I go. This one’s a trip!

TCBCO2101 152690 04/02/21 14:27 Initial nasal impact is warming and drying. Aroma is upfront citrus and cooked agave, backed up by floral notes - jasmine and orange blossom. Some limestone and olive follows. Mouthfeel is coating and drying. The citrus, cooked agave and olive come through immediately on the flavor with a nice pepper hit. Maybe a touch of spearmint. There are some mineral and plain Greek yogurt components on the retro nasal. A medium finish A solid blanco from NOM 1414 and at $35, it's a definite buy

Flat flavor not as complex, but the cooked agave was present all around with a really enjoyable layer of natural sweetness that reminds me of dulces típicos of Mexico (jamóncillo & almonds/nuts) For the price, this is a great mixer tequila and versatile to sip on.

Wow! This is a totally different animal from the NueveUno which I just rated. Citrus, pepper, a nose spike from the ethanol...looks at label hmm 40%. Still using the stemless Riedel this settled down quickly in the glass and gives a great bouquet of orange flower and roast caramelized agave. Some sourness and a citric acid tang on the tongue like too many sour patch kids is not a bad thing at all as this fades and finishes on some great sweet agave vinegar notes. Sounds contradictory but it all works together. This receives an 8 for value from me. My usual score is 7 which is average as far as the app is concerned.

Nice blanco tequila. Not as agave forward as some other 1414 blancos. Good bargain though.

I saw the review by the great Sebastian Flores and began searching for this. I found it 2 hours away at a small shop in Alameda as I traveled to my brother’s 60th. The aroma promised agave with a hint of citrus. The taste delivered a light pepper with a mix of cooked agave and a light touch of citrus and maybe vinegar. The finish was a nice balance between oily and watery with the pepper holding the prominent position. This went from an “odd” flavor to a “unique” flavor to an “enjoyable” flavor with each taste. Be willing to let your tequila change. Also, and completely unsolicited advice, find and pinpoint people you trust with reviews even if they don’t review often. (Enough of this old man advice. Haha.). This is worth a try based on the uniqueness and the price.

Light agave sweetness and lingering lime tartness. Rich silky mouthfeel and tropical spice components lead to a long lasting finish.

Purchased this bottle after noticing it was from NOM 1414. 750ml screw top. Poured in glencarin glass, very clear juice, aromas of citrus, pineapple, pine, strong ethanol bouquet . Lots of black pepper, slightly tart(acetic), hint of mint, a little butter in the back. I’d buy again, good value for the quality.

Aroma: peppermint and cucumber on the nose. A bit of citrus as well. Taste: nice fresh agave and some watermelon rind coming through.

Ooommmggg if you are looking for a blanco with flavor, sabor, without bite or burn. Than look no further, this is IT!!!! I bought a liter of confianza for $38 and it is worth double that. smooth on the entry you get pepper anise with a slight hint of citrus and once its down the hatch it is SMOOOOTH!!! On the nose is actually very light, some citrus with agave but nothing like it tastes. Definitely a tremendous sipper and mixer for the price.

Aroma of dried cranberries and flowers initially in the glass that developed notes of balsamic vinegar as it sat. This has a "aged" character to me that is a departure from the standard blanco profile. The taste is similarly unique, with an inexplicably balsamic background behind a core of cooked agave and orange peel flavor. Like other reviewers, I think this vinegar note actually works quite well and augments the classic agave flavors in a thought provoking way. Lingering and pleasant peppery bitterness on the finish. NOM 1414 again producing quite a unique-tasting tequila. I've tried their ArteNOM reposado expression and was similarly impressed by the atypical flavors they have coaxed out of agave. While it's flavors are probably not in the comfort zone for most tequila drinkers, this bottle goes to show how different even a blanco can taste. Highly reccomended for anyone looking to taste a unique tequila.

Unique flavor profile and a fun tasting adventure. I would definitely drink this again, yet this isn't something I plan to buy again. Affordable. Ferment and Still $37. Nose: Fruity and tart plumbs, sour grape skins, faint hints of cinnamon spice. Wow. Very unexpected and delightful. Taste: Mild oily mouthfeel, tart acidity and a mild sweetness. Very easy to drink. Again, the plumb and citrus fruitiness with cinnamon take center stage. Reminiscence of the sweet, tart, and pleasant bite of balsamic vinegar. Unique, but its works well. Finish: Medium tart and sweet.

Blind tasted well with Terralta, Pasote & Cimmaron blancos. Mild agave & something very slight sweet aromas. Very unique flavor profile with carmelized agave, citrus & something else that turns a little peppery on long smooth finish. Bumped up score a couple points for value. Definitely a sipper that I would buy again.

This has a Zing to it! Light, and refreshing… easy drinking citrus and pepper and there is something else not cinnamon but maybe like a clove in oranges type flavor.
