Mexican 38% abv. versión, lote: 02-290104-11:05, marbete is from 2004, tasted on 5-24-24. Color: yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave, barrel spice, light vanilla, light wood note that becomes more intense as time goes by, hint of black pepper, light earthiness, after 20 minutes in the glass it becomes slightly herbaceous and light green vegetal notes emerge. Light acidity and light citrus notes. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, wood note is more intense on the palate and slightly drying, earthier on the palate too. Light spiciness. Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked agave with light vanilla, light wood note, hint of pepper spiciness with light herbal notes persist.

Sweetness of cooked agave and oak wood on the nose with hints of caramel and leather. Mouthfeel is soft and warm without excessive heat. Flavors of agave and butter and wood seems diminished relative to the nose. Finish is smooth and lingers with butter notes.

Didn't get much on the nose. A little agave but not much else. Flavor is good, not as sweet as other repos from this brand. Nice long finish. I prefer this over the other repos from El Tequileno.
