NOM 1479. Aroma is very vegetal with little or no barrel noticeable. Agave is strongly present in the aroma. This tequila is pretty thin but gives a nice bite of peppery spice in the flavor. A definite flavor of bitter almond at the end. The bitter aftertaste lingers along with some spice for a moderate finish.
There is a lot here to like but in the end this one is pretty unbalanced/uneven. Things just don’t seem to come together with this tequila. I’d like to try the Blanco.

Very smooth and dessert-like on the nose, with baked agave, vanilla, butter, and baking spices dominating up front. Underneath there is some black pepper, along with caramel and a variety of fruits (I detect melon, banana, cherry, and red apple). After opening for a bit, there is also cinnamon and white pepper present. The palate is similar, with notes of agave and baked desserts, reminiscent of fruit pies (but not overly sweet). Honey and almonds also join the party, with more sweet fruits and caramel on the finish. This is a great after dinner sipper.

Good tequila for cocktails. Strong enough to tell your drink has tequila in it, but not so strong that it overpowers. Not as smooth as I would like, but great overall.

Agave and a bit of butter on the nose, not much else going on here. Mediocre flavor, finish is a bit lackluster.
