NOM 1079 | Celery, melon, tropical green fruits, kiwi, tutti frutti profile. Wished it was at a higher proof. Very fruity and crisp. You can still find these out there!
NOM 1079 | Not bad. Nose is very sweet with fruit and vanilla. Taste is agave, vegetal, nose, light nuttiness, little alcohol, and pepper
NOM 1079 | Good flavor vegetal…. Agave on the from and some pepper easy sipper
Nom 1079. Aroma of green agave, pepper, and floral/light perfume/tobacco scents. Taste is first of cooked agave, very forward, and minerals with light pear. Solid Blanco
NOM 1079 | Lote 61 NOM 1079
NOM 1079 | from NOM 1079 (not 1580). grass, pear, green agave on the nose - extremely prevalent. some pepper hits the upper nostrils. earthy/cantaloupe can be detected. the flavor carries the pear through big time. cantaloupe rind and black pepper on the retrohale and finish. there is cantaloupe rind on the palate subtly throughout initial taste as well (might be thought of as vegetal rather than cantaloupe rind). the rustic, mild heat is present and but not overbearing. agave is present on nose and flavor, but not at the forefront, which I normally don't rate highly, but this is very welcoming and enjoyable. very unique. I have not had the NOM 1580 version, but this is outstanding.
NOM 1079 | Classic 1079 wet grass and green pear in the nose. Light pepper, short but flavorful mouth feels. A nice, lingering finish.
NOM 1580 | Nose: Cinnamon, canned pears, and some pungency. Flavor: Almonds, pronounced pepper, on the sweet side with some bitterness. Finish is medium long with pepper, aforementioned bitterness and a slightly strange sweetness.
NOM 1079 | Nose: Grass, green pear, cinnamon, minerals and agave. Flavor: Hot pepper, mint, earth. Somewhat oily. Some bitterness. Pepper finish stays with you with whispers of herbs.
NOM 1079 | NOM 1079
NOM 1079 | NOM 1079.
nice easy floral nose. very slight pepper. clean clear. pepper up front. almond, nutty and fresh. easy finish. very nice and price competitive. definitely recommend sipping on the blanco
Older bottle from the early mid 2000's. While other batches have been much more flavorful and complex, this one is Very singular with citrus and raw agave notes and a bit too much bitterness for my personal taste.
NOM 1079 | NOM 1079 , 38%, Lote 21 , Frosted “frig” bottle with marbete tax stamp 2012 . Wow ! Old school real tequila ! Wonderfully thick, oily, briny, fresh agave, citrus, long pepper . They sure don’t make it like this anymore . Opened and savoring this gem because you can’t take it with you , so why collect dust and stare . Drink up ! Salud mes amigos !
NOM 1079 Vegetal awesomeness
NOM 1079 | Transparent glass bottle, marbete is from 2017. Aroma: cooked agave, slightly briny, alcohol sensation is medium. Palate: briny cooked agave, ethanol sensation is medium. Finish is medium to long, slightly briny raw agave persists.
NOM 1079 | 2009 38%
This the the tequila that defines buttery oily mouthfeel, and that is what makes it a legendary tequila!
1079 Goodness. One of my favorite Blancos @ 40abv. Buy them if you can find them.
Nom1079 Lot61 love the nose on this tequila the taste is not bad either.
NOM 1079 | Chocolatey savoury notes throughout
NOM 1079 | excellent on the rocks
NOM 1079 | NOM 1079. NOM 1079. I decided to a flight of Oro Azul based really on the repo review, and I am really happy with this blanco. The flavor is like a shiny new toy at Christmas... You just want to hang on to it and make sure no one else plays with it. Has very sweet moments then does some judo move into serious tequila land. For the price I'd say try it if you are wanting to try a new blanco.
