NOM 1459 | Pleasing nose of agave, earth and barrel spice. Nice mouth feel with some viscosity and the nose carries over to the taste with some added spice from alcohol and agave pepper. Some fading sweetness that turns to light bitter oak and tannic notes plus some alcohol.
NOM 1459 | Not a bad añejo for the price point. Earthy aroma with a hint of smoke. I would but again just for the bargain.
NOM 1459 | NOM 1459.
NOM 1459 | Oak, cooked agave, vanilla. Love the slight whiskey smell. Taste is sweet and mild. Finish is little heated going down. I like this anejo.
NOM 1459 | Jalapeño Not harsh Good to sip
NOM 1459 | The aroma is a sharp caramel with alcohol in the background. Its not agave, its alcohol. The flavor adds some cinnamon to the caramel and brings some lip tingle/numbness. This also has an oily mouthfeel. The finish brings some pepper and mild alcohol chest burn. Not as poorly constructed as their blanco but still odd and not recommended.
NOM 1459 | Smoky barrel char, vanilla, caramel additive bomb. It’s tasty but doesn’t taste anything like natural flavors but then again neither does Rey sol. This one Wins tastings with folks that don’t care about traditional products and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
NOM 1459 | Nom 1459. Good aroma. A little alcohol burn. Good, not great.
nose alcohol citrus spice taste vanilla caramel spice, finish hot alcohol
Has a slight kerosine note initially bet mellows over ice.
NOM 1459 | Somewhat mild nose, but there’s an earthy and smoky funkiness I don’t get from many añejos. Perfect level of sweetness on the palate with caramel, vanilla, oaky, and peppery flavors. Great balance between barrel influence and cooked agave, but I wish the finish was longer. I’m surprised how much I like this tequila considering its pedigree. It’s sweeter than I expected, but not at all cloying. I tried this from a 50mL sampler and plan on purchasing a full bottle.
NOM 1459 | So this tequila has a lot of great flavors in it however it is completely overwhelmed by the abundance of alcohol/agave smell and taste/raw
On the nose: Sweet oak wood, vallina, citrus, and baking spices with subtle smoke. Light roasted agave rounds out the nose. On the palate: Up front, there is a pleasant sweetness that pairs nicely with the bitter oak, and carmel. Followed by hints of vanilla, baking spices, and a touch of black pepper. On the mild finish, you get roasted agave and smoke. A very affordable Anjeo that doesn't break the bank.
NOM 1459 | Aroma Alcohol followed by oak cooked agave and baking spices. Taste Caramel and vanilla followed by oak, cooked agave and baking spices.
Inexpensive value for an Añejo but definitely not 80 points worth
Sweet smell of butterscotch candy and wood. The entry is the same as the nose with hints of agave and numbing alcohol. Very thick feeling if you hold it in your mouth. It has a sweet yet spike like bitter-burn that seems to fight itself while it slowly fades away.
This is much better than the blanco or reposado but still has the funky smell & taste. At least you can kinda taste the cooked agave. Grass, earthy, citrus in the nose. Cooked agave, vanilla, orange in the mouth. Alcohol, oak, pepper and smoke in the finish. Good experiment but I don't think I'll go back.
NOM 1459 | Not perfect but good
NOM 1459 | For an añejo it's more vegetal than you would expect. Still oak, citrus and fruity on the nose. Cooked agave, vanilla and orange peel in the mouth. The finish is a blend of sawdust, nuts and pine.
Very earthy aroma. Heavy earth flavor with vegetal undertones. Nutty finish with a hint of smoke. It’s interesting, and a good deal at under $40.

NOM 1459 | Honey, vanilla, oak and agave on the nose. Opens up with some floral notes and some baking spices. There’s definitely a little agave on the palate but the oak and vanilla overshadow it. A little bit of earthiness, and a bitterness that isn’t bad at all, just there. Some cinnamon. This would be very good but it’s a little thin and the finish is relatively short. Still, for $40 at Total Wine, this really isn’t half bad. I can’t really detect additives, and if they’re in there, they aren’t pulling the most weight. I may snag a full size bottle of this in the future, it’s a very easy, mellow sipper.
