Cuernito blanco NOM 1123 Picked up a bottle at the cascahuin distillery March 2025 This is a mixto.not 100% de agave Nose: vegetal, pepper, cinamon, citrus/orange peel Palate: you definitely taste the sugarcane/brown sugar, along with agave, cinamon and minerality/cemment. Finish: a little astringent at first. Let it open, and it subsides to sweet and peppery Overall: i generally dont sip mixtos. This could be a budget-friendly option for cocktails for the price 280 pesos/liter

Nose: A little flat on immediate pouring, but soon gives way to brown sugar, cinnamon, citrus and wet crushed rock. Flavors: Cinnamon and pepper heat. On the sweet side. A hard candy sweetness and feel on the tongue. Some bitterness to the sweetness. This is a mixto with a pedigree, and priced at $220 pesos. Maybe a mixer candidate?

Mexican 1 liter 38% abv. bottling. Lote: 1010, bottled on 06-04-2019. Aroma: raw agave, slightly minty & earthy. Palate: raw agave, green notes, light bodied, slightly astringent at the end. Finish is short to medium, raw agave with green notes persist but not for long.
