NOM 1465 | Nom 1465. The Blanco is clean and pleasant. Decent flavor with cooked agave. There is some minor bitterness going on. The finish is ok but with some alcohol. A decent mixer.

NOM 1465 Aroma is old-school vegetal with agave and a bit of black pepper. Full, rich mouthfeel with nice spice made up of black pepper and cinnamon. The finish is long and persistent. This is a great, traditional blanco tequila. 7/24/2015

This blanco would be a 5 for value if not for a great sale. Has a lot of elements that I enjoy but seems heavy on the tip of tongue numbing. One note agave on the nose with some added alcohol when tipping the glass and nosing high. For the price it's OK but just that. Will let it sit for a bit in the bottle and revisit. Edit: Revisiting after quite some time and my palate has changed enough that I find this quite tasty.

Scent of agave, and citrus? It's a mild aroma. Nice oily mouth feel. Lands smooth and then starts lighting up with a full mouth of wonderful pepper and spice almost immediately, that's more of a sensation than a flavor, and then lasts and lasts. Why isn't this on my bar yet?! Put this in your mouth now!

NOM 1465 | Mexican 38% abv. version, wooden top with a plastic stopper, lot code erased, marbete is from year 2006, neck label states: Pasión por la Vida. Yes! Tasted on 10-6-24. Aroma: light raw agave, light green vegetal notes, quite herbaceous & mineral, light earthiness, after 20 minutes a hint of sweet cooked agave emerges, but I feel it is covered up by the stronger herbaceous and mineral aromas. Reminds me of Guanajuato agave aromas. Hint of chili spiciness and a whiff of lactic note. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good balance of the above mentioned aromas. Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked and raw agave, hint of cooked agave sweetness, light herbaceous and mineral notes with a whiff of lactic aroma persists. Note to self: let this tequila open up for 30 minutes before drinking.

Nice mild agave & slight orange aromas. Agave, slight citrus & very light black pepper flavors. Nice oily mouth feel with long smooth finish. Sipping while waiting for tacos at Cochinito Taqueria in Spokane.

Pleasant aroma, cooked agave, alcohol. Nice flavor, slightly sweet, maybe some tropical fruit flavors. Nice full mouth feel, slightly oily. Finish is meh. A little bitter.

Nice on the nose, hints of what should be there in a blanco with a little alcohol. Thick in the glass with good legs. Lots of body in the mouth with some pepper but not overpowering. Finish is very smooth and peppery if that is possible. cooked agave is there throughout. Me likes. only thing from getting a higher score is that it is a little pricey for a blanco but I would probably buy again.

Review #257 - Frida Kahlo Tequila Blanco

I've been intrigued by the Frida Kahlo line for quite some time, but never had the opportunity to try it until recently.
