Light amber in glass. Initial aroma of cotton candy and a hint of vanilla. Favor of caramel and something else sweet. Hardly any finish. I'm guessing diffuser and additives.
NOM 1602 | Lots of astringency, a little bit of hay/straw, then an artificial cake like vanilla. The nose is probably the best aspect of this pour, and that’s not saying much; it’s all downhill from there.
Tasted at Tanger Whiskey Fest. NOM 1602 Barrel spice, alcohol, vanilla on the nose. Same on the flavor with a solvent and astringent aftertaste. Pass
NOM 1602 | Light body, might be good for cocktails.
NOM 1590 | Really didn’t make much of an impression, seems like it is trying to be non offensive and wound up being nothing at all.
Mexico version. Understated aroma. The flavor was far too sweet for my taste. There was a bit of a chemical bite to the finish. Made a mistake. This should never have been on my wish list.
NOM 1420 | Bottle from 2011. Big black pepper right on entry. After a couple of minutes in the glass it has a solvent nose, which I would consider a defect. The jewel top closure is the best thing about this bottle at the moment.
It doesn't taste bad, it just doesn't taste at all. Completely unremarkable!
So far the best I've ever had for the money. About $15 in Mexico
Very chemically and heavy on the minerality. Too harsh for my taste.
NOM 1417 | NOM 1417
NOM 1602 | Way too big of a chemical flavor for me. I wish they placed half the effort in the juice as they did the bottle presentation
NOM 1602 | On the nose it was pretty much alcohol. On the palette it was a buttery alcohol and a very hot finish. It wasn’t unpleasant to drink, but I wouldn’t call it good either. It’s better than others in its price range.
NOM 1602 | Good value, delicious when you are “enjoying” your tequila with friends and not “savoring it” like a premium blend… it is not. We can find it all over Jalisco and I appreciate the taste, aroma and aftertaste chilled out with an ice cube.
Atrificial cucumber, green pepper, jalapeno, and vanilla. Not good.
NOM 1602 | Straight up vanilla, very sweet.
NOM 1602 | Bottle: L6DRR240620M Appearance: Medium hay Nose: Cooked agave, vanilla, oak, honey, butter, alcohol, barrel spice, caramel, yeast/dough, cider, and almond…not the worst use of additives, fairly pleasant Palate: Oak, whiskey, barrel spice, alcohol, astringent, caramel, vanilla almond milk, fake banana/fake fruit, medicinal, yeast/dough, cinnamon candy, and solvent…someone spilled paint thinner in my tequila Finish: Oak, solvent, and acetone…nail polish remover aged in an oak barrel Overall: Diffuser, acid-thermal hydrolysis, and additives…res ipsa loquitur.
NOM 1420 | 080709, P:TQ9:2 2. Marbete is from 2007, 220ml. slim bottle 38% abv. Tasted on 9-29-23. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: very lightly sweet cooked agave, earthy, alcohol sensation is medium, very light vanilla & wood note, not very expressive. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, light green tea note at the end. Finish is medium to medium short, very subtle cooked agave note persists but not for long.
NOM 1602 | Vanilla extract and sugary. Meh…
Not much on the nose, very smooth easy drinking with agave sweetness forward notes, which I like Honey and light butterscotch
Somewhat bland aroma. Mild agave flavor, some sweetness, black pepper. Short finish. Better for mixing in my opinion.
NOM 1602 | Rotten fruits and wood
mild, lemon, alcohol, light agave lack of flavor
