Slow wonderful tears. Caramel, lite oak and banana cinnamon nose. Alcohol is slightly noticeable. Sweet entry with licorice and agave, followed by a medium pepper kick. Nice mouth feel. Toffee, chocolate and pepper warmth on the finish. Good value.

NOM 1360, Mexican 38% abv. version, light brown transparent glass bottle with wood stopper and a glass top, no lot code, marbete is from year 2000, tasted on 10-12-24. Color: yellow to light yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave with a hint of sweetness, light acidity, hint of citrus, hint of ripe apple, hint of earthiness, the sweetness in this tequila is similar to dried fruits, not as lively and resinous but subtler and prolonged. Dried apples. Hint of wood note. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, light soapy aroma through my retronasal. Finish is medium to almost medium long, light sweet cooked agave, light dry fruity aromas with a hint of earthiness persists.

NOM 1473 | Good Tequila over all. I am sure there are some places that will charge a ton. I had it while staying at The Westin Lagunamar in Cancun and purchased it from the Mall across the street. Could have a little more body but at 45bucks it’s a solid pour.

This is my favorite tequila. I have one bottle left of 5 I purchased in San Diego for the year 2000. They are special hand blown glass 1.750 ml bottles. I opened bottle #4 for my 70th birthday. I will open #5 on my 100th birthday or my sons will open it at my Wake. I now live in Florida and it's difficult to find here in the 750ml. Everyone's taste is different. That's why they have different liquors/foods.... This is my favorite. It's sipping tequila. If you want to make a margarita try something else.

NOM 1473 | I found agave in the aroma and flavor, the oak treatment is just right for me. Nice toffee flavor, and the finish is unique, but nice. A solid tequila in a very nice bottle. If I find this one again, I’ll take another bottle home

Often Anejos lose their agave taste. This tequila has the smoothness and complexity while retaining a nice agave note. I really like this tequila.

Review #201 - Don Fernando Tequila Anejo

Revisiting Don Fernando. I loved the reposado and what I had read on the anejo looked promising. Upon pouring, this looks like a dark, rich anejo. Let's see how it tastes.
