Well all around spirit from nose to finish. I wish this one was still around.
Fortunate at a friend's tasting, dusted off bottle, had enough for two last samplings. Oak, vanilla, butterscotch, spices, a long finish..
Barrel spices, subtle oak, baked agave, vanilla. Not very long finish.
Quite old bottle, more than 15 years old. Early 1146 product and still has alcohol and barrel spice even being open for so long.
Aromas of bake agave & vanilla. Smooth entry. A little warm on the back of the tongue. Light, sweet agave notes. Lots of medium toast oak. White pepper turns to cinnamon heat and then mellows. Truly a classic tequila that every Tequila Afficinado must taste!
Nom 1107. (41.7% alc/vol). Very light in color for an añejo . Medium body. Moderate aroma of baked agave, wood and olive. The predominant flavor is wood, with hints of agave, olive and spice. I was expecting a lot more from this one. This may have been an old bottle that was compromised by age. The bartender had to dust off the bottle before he even attempted to open it.
