It has a kick, but that is what real tequila should taste! Smooth but still flavorful.

There are extra añejos. And there are EXTRA añejos. They have taking this to another level. The hint of spice and cinnamon in a whisky aged barrel. Bold in taste confirms the maturity of the agave. Definitely a show stopper. Cheers!!!

Love the whiskey touch of flavor that comes through with this 7 year Anejo

Nose is sweet, pleasant and complex with notes of maple, vanilla, hazelnuts, tobacco. Bright, fiery amber hue, suggestive of significant aging. Luxurious mouthfeel, earthy wood, dry fruits and cocoa notes compliment the agave forward finish. Very complex but true to the agave from which it was produced. No age statement on batch one but the taste profile suggests aging well beyond the 3 year minimum for Extra Anejo; likely finished in whiskey barrels. Superb product; highly recommended if you are fortunate enough to get your hands on it. Available online though often out of stock.

I re-tasted this tequila tonight and my original review may have been a little harsh (4). It doesn’t suck, but there are so many better tequilas out there. I’m hoping that the owners and distillers rethink what they do, and tweak their recipe to better reflect what I think they are trying to achieve. All tequilas deserve a chance to be tasted, try this one and see if I’m wrong.
