Caramel and butterscotch on the nose and palate. There’s cooked agave and little spice. It’s not too sweet. It’s well balanced. 50ml sample

Lot 1 (#2005 from 2020)- herbal and white wine aroma. Taste agave, fruit, vanilla, almond, pepper. I enjoy the taste better than aroma. 85 Rating Lot 2 (#2250 from 2022)- plums and grass on aroma. Tasting plum, grass, almond, vanilla. Richer taste, more body than lot 1. Reminds me of Fortaleza WB 2022. Much darker color as this one is a blend of American and French oak, with part of the French oak ex-wine. The French oak makes a big impact compared to Lot 1. 87 Rating

Mexican release, 38% ABV Nose: Fruity agave with cloves and a green banana tease. A pop of jackfruit and a dank cellar note. Flavors: Buttery brown sugar richness. Medium black pepper that builds intensity throughout the tasting. Vanilla and almond cream mid palate. Baked pineapple and spices. A very respectable reposado that doesn’t develop a whole lot more on the finish. I’d like to retaste this brand at 40% ABV.

I initially tasted Tau Reposado and hated it. On that day, my pallet must have been off. I had it again after drinking a few Anejos. I can't believe my nose. I was totally wrong. This Reposado is fantastic. Unique in nose and pallet. The nose and flavor are very complex. Viscous and oily. Very long finish. You really need to give this one time. It needs to open up. On the nose.. caramel, vanilla, sweet agave, honey and some barrel note I can't identify. Yam? White wine? I swear I taste the champagne yeast. Unlike any Reposado I have ever had. it's different. Some may not like different. Sometimes your pallet needs to be in the right place at the right time. Just ..wow! Price can't be beat .Highly recommend.

Lote: TAUREP1849, bottled on 30-03-2019, tasted on 9-27-23. Color: very light yellow. Aroma: cooked agave, light briny sensation that dissipates after 30 minutes, acidity, light citrus, light white pepper. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, agave is sweeter on the palate, light resinous sweetness, good sweet sour & acidic balance. Finish is medium to medium long, light sweet cooked agave with a touch of salt & light black pepper note persist.

Nose: It's a little light on the nose. Hints of cooked agave, light oak, chocolate. Palate: The first note I get is chocolate. I've had this repo on multiple occasions, and the chocolate always stands out. Sweet cooked agave still comes through in droves. The mouth feel isn't quite as silky as some others from 1414, but still pleasant. The finish is a short to medium, with the sweet agave and cinammon spice lingering on the tongue.

Nose is super sexy! Rich caramel and dark chocolate, almost smells creamy. More of those aromas are even more present on the palette, some toasted marshmallow and a great mouth feel.
