Raw agave & citrus and that’s it Would go well in mixology. Cheap alternative. Friendly alcohol attack and minimal harshness

Nose: There is a dominating sweet, sharp, acidic aroma - maybe like cooked agave starting to turn bad. Not a total turn off. Some earthy undercurrents with hints of spice and caramel. Flavors: A little on the sweet side, with warming spice and pepper that keeps it interesting. But the nose is all pervasive in the tasting experience. Something a little cloying on the finish. It would be hard for me to consume a second glass of this.

Wow, super funky aroma here. Almost like sauerkraut! Result of what must have been super mature agave used in production. As much as I love agave, this aroma has gone too far, and covers up everything else in the aroma. Flavor is also sweet and it has a thick mouthfeel. (Rated blind)

I was amazed at an old bottle lot L00318 bottled on 26-03-2018 and got the most recent bottle I could to compare them, the newer bottling is lot L00422 bottled on 31-06-2022, which is quite different! Point rating is for lot L00318, bottle #04846, 750ml.: Aroma: intensely sweet agave almost without the herbaceous or green notes, even if very light, associated with an agave, but the type of sweetness does appear natural, sweet yam, tutti-frutti sweetness that feels quite natural, light black pepper, minty & fresh. Palate: agave sweetness, slightly earthy, light black pepper, I can smell white floral sweetness through my retronasal. Although at the very end a tad of alcohol sensation and sourness appears. Finish is medium to long, pure agave sweetness with a touch of earthiness like yam lingers on! L00422: bottle #225086, 700ml. 74 points. Aroma: very light cooked agave aroma, slightly green, alcohol sensation is high. Palate: raw agave, light herbaceous, green, slightly briny, light alcohol sensation also appears later. Finish is medium, very light cooked agave notes and alcohol sensation persists.

Don Pepe has it about right in his review. Almost like an ordinario first distillation without much flavor or aromas—just plain alcohol. No art with the science of distillation.

Light floral notes. Smooth as silck taste. No back taste as some tequilas have. If I can get this in the state, that would be great. I am drinking from a friend's bottle so I do not know how much it is.

even though you can taste the cooked agave it might get too old to fast for some palads, its worth the taste though
