First review of 2023, but not my first tequila lol. I’m getting a lot of caramel, butterscotch, oak, and alcohol on the nose. This is for sure a dessert tequila that’s on the sweeter side. There are flavors of dulce de leche, piloncillo, oak, caramel, and vanilla. There’s some cinnamon and nutmeg as well. I can’t tell if it’s heavily relying on oak or if there’s some additive use… I’d err on both; thankfully it’s not over the top. Would it be something I drink again, maybe. This is definitely a notch up from San Matias XA but still lacking in complexity compared to other XAs. Extra points for value… $60USD. At an extra $20 I’d recommend Terralta XA over this.

Very nice aroma, caramel, vanilla, oak, cooked sweet agave, butterscotch. The palate is nice with the same sweet oaky flavors but very light and short. The finish is where it lacks the most, very short and light finish. Overall a good value for the $35 ish it costs.
