Bottle 976/1000. I think from 2018. Annoying wax dip. Nose- Agave, earth, moist oak, mineral water. Very unique. Taste- Sweet anise (licorice?), caramelized agave, smoke, black pepper. Again unique but not my jam. Finish- short, sweet, and a touch of peppery heat.

Smoke, licorice, and cooked agave in the aroma, flavor, and finish. It isn’t too sweet, even though it smells like it could be. Good stuff!

Smells and tastes like a mezcal! Agave and slight bandaid nose, sweet agave flavor and light smoky finish.

Nose: Very intriguing nose. Strong tropical fruit notes, citrus, vanilla, mint and spiciness. Smokiness and a slight medicinal aroma that recedes (maybe eucalyptus?) Minerals and earthiness come on fairly strong, but fade as well, leaving the smoky notes to emerge again. Very unique. Flavors: More pronounced smoke than the nose presented, with medium pepper and light bitterness. A medium bodied mouth feel, possessing some sweet agave undercurrents and an anise fade. The smoky, minty notes remain constant throughout. It’s interesting.

Some smoke and agave and well balanced. I like this better than the over oaked extra añejo.

Cooked agave nose with subtle smokiness. Smoky taste upfront with sweeter finish.
