Nose: Ripe red fruit, agave notes and hints of citrus, earth and minerals. Flavor: Sweetness and white pepper predominate. Some caramel and vanilla with some bitter undercurrents.
Aromas: earth minerals, light agave, Tastes: agave forward, earthy, little spice pepper Finishes strong lasting agave forward with a sweet note
Rich nose, fat mouthfeel, sweet-dry finish. Questioning sweetness on it.
Mexican 35% abv. version, LOT 130217, marbete is newer than year 2020, tasted on 10-28-23. Aroma: cooked agave with light sweetness, earthy, light acidity, a touch of herbs. Agave note becomes sweeter with more time in the glass. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, agave sweetness is more pronounced on the palate. Finish is medium to medium long, cooked agave with light sweetness with light acidity persists.
Really nice agave notes on the nose. Peppery. Great finish.
Mild cooked agave with hints of citrus, mint and pepper. Same on the palate with some minerals. Light finish with minimal viscosity.
Agave forward, followed by floral and minerals notes with a medium pepper finish. Great sipping tequila
Rey Del Mundo Blanco — “The King of the World” This 100% Agave Blanco comes in a tall bottle that’s frosted black with a clear triangular design towards the bottom on the front and back that allows you to peer through the bottle and see the tequila that awaits you. - The nose is light with hints of fresh agave, lemongrass, almonds, and a hint of sweetness with a vegetal background. There’s also a touch of alcohol on the nose and a faint floral note. - The sweetness hits the tip of the tongue and on the mid palate. The cooked agave shows up with that faint lemongrass and almond note. The body is acceptable; it’s not too thin but it’s not dense either. There’s a pleasant white pepper and green vegetal finish there to remind you that you’re drinking a Branco tequila. - Overall it’s a good Branco. It’s not complicated but it’s refined enough to sip on and I’m sure it’ll hold up in all of your tequila cocktails - Salud! - I only found one reference for price and it showed mid 90s. That hurts the tasting.
