This tequila is my first love, you never forget your first!! Oodles of roasted agave on the nose, banana nut muffin flavour(perfect for breakfast) and an amazing oily finish that coats your whole mouth. I still love this!

Bottle is dated 19/12/06 RLA-002. More oak and barrel spice than El Tesoro reposado from the same time frame. The base distillate would be similar so it's possible that newer barrels were used for aging this at the time. Blanco of this brand turns up much more often than the reposado and añejo so if you see this grab it for some 10+ year old agave goodness from La Alteña.

Subtle citrus nose. buttery, Carmel first impression on the taste. nice consistent finish.

I’m not normally a fan of reposados, but this one I love. It’s got a sort of overripe banana flavour that I’ve seen nowhere else. It’s also a great deal for the quality. It’s too bad that we won’t be able to get it anymore shortly.

Beautiful peppery green nose with bright agave. Palette reflects the nose well but finishes a bit hot. A little barrel on the finish but more of a long numbing tingle on the sides of the palette.

The aroma is on the sweeter side. Notes of banana and fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma. The finish is very smooth.
