Nose: First impression brings light “woody” oak, rich agave, and dark dried fruit - primarily raisins, and prunes. Next comes assertive aromas of green cardamom pods and allspice. Vanilla rounds out the nosing. Flavors: Fiery barrel spices and velvety butterscotch juxtaposed. White pepper gives another notch of heat to the profile. There is a slight aftertaste of bitter oak. Finish: Creamy vanilla, caramel and kicking cardamom heat. It catches your attention. Slightly overpriced in my estimation, costing it 1 point.
