NOM 1360 | Older bottle. Packing to move and opportunity knocked. Not very complicated though it doesn't seem damaged by time or being open. Resin, oak and barrel spice with agave in the back behind all the wood. Short finish fades to some alcohol.
Nice aroma with vanilla and spices. Slight fruit on the palate. Sharp bite at the end for an Añejo.
Vanilla on the nose. Very smooth. Subtle taste, very little agave; but of course it's an anejo so one shouldn't expect too much agave. Some won't like the lack of boldness here; but this is easy sipping. Honestly, the scores on this site are unreasonably low; almost absurd. This is an approachable anejo and the quality is indisputable. I get that the subtle flavour isn't for everyone; but giving this less than 70 shows incompetence/lack of development in a tequila palate. I've had better, no question, but this is easy to recommend.
A very good tequila but very pricey when compared to other fine brands.
