NOM 1586 | Flat aromas of agave, citrus & pepper Flavor it’s a fun mix of citrusy flavors; grapefruit, orange, tangerine & lime Briny/metallic finish Good for cocktails, decreased points due to high price for what if offers
NOM 1586 | I really like this. Nice agave up front (baking spices) nice peppery backend. Great taste very surprised. Definitely something to try.
NOM 1586 | A nice blanco, nothing exceptional. True to its form. Shows well.
NOM 1586 | Peppercorn, green agave
The aroma was strong of alcohol so i let it open up for a bit and the agave came through. It tasted how I suspected based on the aroma. Baked agave, pepper and alcohol. It was a bit hot as it stung my throat a bit. It was sweeter than i expected, so i suspect maybe some glycerin, but not sure. This was a bit thin and presented almost like a reposado.
NOM 1558 | Another brand I’m on the fence with, not good or bad, just right down the middle. I get agave but not that rich flavour I’m looking for, seems a little watered down.
NOM 1586 | Nose: Fruit and agave, a mineral note, and some floral undertones. Palate: Semi oily, spicy with pepper, and some almond-like hints. A touch of pineapple.
Wood Tavern Berkeley, CA easy sipper with balanced spice and sweetness ending in a quick, dry finish.
Very nice aroma, agave, sweetness, light earth. Flavor is on the light side but agave and flowers come through. Finish is long and has some spice.
NOM 1414 | Big floral notes in the nose and mouth with this NOM1414 bottle from a few years ago.
NOM 1414 | NOM 1414.
NOM 1414 | NOM 1414. NOM 1414.
NOM 1414 | This taste of Chamucos came from NOM 1414. While the nose is a bit more complex than the taste, there is a lot of nice earth, agave, and pepper in this blanco, and is a nice example of the tequilas from Arandas. The nose also has a bit of a cake batter element that some people will dig too. I love the long and intense finish, but my only dig on this tequila was that I found a bit too much bitterness in the finish for my personal taste. Other than that, I still have not come across a tequila that has been made by Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados NOM (1414), that I have not liked - Good Stuff!
NOM 1586 | Aroma kills it for me. Some sort of funk. Flavor and finish are average.
NOM 1586 | Nose: musty agave Flavor: agave, citrus, vanilla Finish: smooth with pepper on the back end
NOM 1558 | Uniquely funky
NOM 1586 | This is a very enjoyable. Aroma hits with agave, pepper, vegetal, earth, minerals, with a hint of bright orange. Palate is wonderful. Agave hits the tongue with pepper and anise. An earthiness burn that is just right- really complex with flavors I am having a hard time picking them out. The longer it sits the more complex and delicious it’s getting- very nice. Finish is really good. Wish it would last longer because the heat and velvety flavors are wonderful.
NOM1586 Great Blanco to sip on
NOM 1586 | Aroma: mostly mild cooked agave, slight citrusy lemon Taste: agave sweetness rounded off with a lot pepper bitterness Finish: lingering burn with the pepper coming through over the sweetness that fades slowly eventually just has a lingering bitterness
NOM 1586 | Smooth sweet not too peppery
NOM 1414 | Mexican 40% abv. versión, marbete is from 2003 to 2005, tasted on 11-20-23. Aroma: light cooked agave, a touch of citrus, herbal, after 15 minutes in the glass a touch of brine emerges. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, alcohol sensation is medium on the palate. Finish is medium, light cooked agave with herbal and a touch of briny note persists.
NOM 1586 | Dry sweet cooked agave very earthy vegetal notes light citrus. It’s good , great price point $32 additive free blanco. Boy it’s had it’s share of nom’s. 1586
Earthy, pungent, and funky in both aroma and taste from a fresh bottle. As the bottle empties over time, the aroma and taste really open up and present floral and fuity experience. Definitely will keep a bottle in my selection.
