2010 Marbete stamp. 38% ABV Nose: Slightly floral, light pepper, a green vegetal note. A tiny smokey element. Flavor: Pepper, alcohol and some burn present. I’m not sure that I would have pegged this as a mixto. I’m told that this blanco can contain 70+ % blue Weber. It tastes clean to me. Sufficient agave sweetness. But pretty simple and uncomplicated. Probably a fine ingredient for Palomas and the like. Finish has some bitter bite however.

Very straight forward Lacks aroma complexity, but has agave, black pepper and alcohol. Basic and cheap, great for a bunch of margaritas.

This is by far my favourite mixto, depending on when it was produced it can have up to 85% agave. This stuff isn’t “good” in the grand scheme of things but I won’t kick it out of a margarita. Lots of floral notes and not as much bite as you expect from the style.

Green agave and fake sweetner aroma. Not really enjoyable for me.

Mexican 38% abv. versión, lote: LB2118A4124, bottled on 18-02-2021, tasted on 10-20-23. Aroma: cooked agave, light acidity, herbal, after 30 minutes in the glass a hint of briny sensation emerges. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, sweet & salty agave. Finish is medium to medium long, cooked agave with a briny sensation and acidic balance persists.

Drank several times straight & mixed at our hotel in PVR . Actually pretty decent low priced tequila .

Probably the lot since the new distillation manager. It is sweeter and tastier than before.

Nice for a blanco. Rich, earthy, aroma. Slight peppery finish.

Drinking at an All-inclusive so it was this or Cuervo Gold. I'll take any Blanco over Cuervo. Smells a bit like my high school chemistry lab but it's tolerable paired with a view of the ocean.

No aroma is better than a bad one. Not getting much of a flavor. Nothing unpleasant but nothing outstanding either. No burning. Flavors kind of full really. Finish is unremarkable. Out of freezer but warming up. Fifth taste tonight.

This is a mixto. Aroma has a hint of agave. Flavor was alcohol heat with a bit of pepper, but not much else. Medium finish.

tastes like Japanese Sake. Grassy, hay-like perhaps. Brought images of meadows to mind on a hot summer day after days of rain. Didn't seem at all strong, especially considering price. Was expecting it to be harsh, but was surprisingly smooth. A bit of alcohol on entry, but diminished quickly. Mid to long finish, might get tiring after a couple ounces. I bought this budget tequila to experiment against a couple of respected Reposados to better know what raw/cooked agave might taste like unaffected by the barrel. Definitely gives me something to seek in future tests. I'd recommend if you're looking for a $10 tequila

I bought a 5l bottle of this in Rosarito in 1988 before heading home to New Zealand. My mother found it and hid from me for about 20 years, handed it back when she thought I wouldn’t drink it all at once. Now takes pride of place in the liquor cabinet and about half empty. Friends like to pull it out on dinner nights. It’s Very popular. Use it in cocktails. No one know how to drink it any other way here.

This blanco tequila is very good grade and very economical. It is made by among one of the oldest manufacturers of Tequila, Jalisco. If you are mixing ANY type of cocktail it is wise to use a blanco tequila that is not aged as it would be a waste to interfere with the taste impregnated by the ageing barrel, and you only want the raw and cooked agave flavor to come through in the cocktail. The affordable price of this high grade white tequila makes it the perfect tequila for mixing any cocktail. Great quality. Massive value.

My brother in law went and bought a 5L bottle of this so we immediately wrote it off as "margaritas only" tequila. Turns out this blanco is passable if it's all you have in your cabinet. Four of us came in with low expectations and all said we'd drink it again.

A great bargain IMHO & easy to find. Not particularly complex but very enjoyable in a Margarita or even sipping. Minty citrus & raw agave on the palate with medium heat and clean finish.
