A little astringent, some baked apple notes on the nose. Very light at 35% almost feels like an agave liqueur. Relatively round mouthfeel, longer finish than I’d expect.

Aromas: Fruity and floral. Citrus and a mineral pop to the nose. Flavor: Oily, piloncillo sweetness, cinnamon and pepper. Trace bitterness. The slightest hint of chlorine. Finish: A simple, straightforward mixto that would probably make good palomas. Can’t go too far wrong at $240 pesos ($11 USD).

Lot: 1009, bottled on 29-03-2019. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: light raw agave, slightly herbaceous, alcohol sensation is medium despite only being 35% abv., very light vanilla note. Light peppery note. Palate: light briny raw agave, a touch of vanilla, earthy & slightly herbaceous. Finish is short to medium, light briny raw agave with a tough of vanilla persist.
