NOM 1594 | 750ml., 40% abv., black label round bottle with a flat cut shoulder. Lot LGAAJ0953, bottled on 01/08/23, tasted on 3-2-24. Color: yellow. Aroma: hint of cooked agave, light fruitiness, hint of metallic note that doesn’t bother, light citrus, light acidity. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, vanilla and wood note is more noticeable on the palate, cinnamon, creamy. Finish is medium to medium long, hint of cooked agave, vanilla, spicy wood notes, hint of fruitiness persists. The light metallic sensation is always present.

NOM 1536 | Very decent, solid tequila . . . with pleasant aromas and taste fore and aft . . . lasts OK . . . wish it had lasted longer though. I will keep my eyes open for it, as I would enjoy tasting it again. If found at a decent price, I'd snatch it up and be happy to enjoy it awhile. Good and solid to me. Will measure others against this one.

Tasted in a snifter at the Hilton in downtown Chicago. Pleasantly smooth aroma of light vanilla and caramel with some citrus tones nicely coming through as it opens. Bright golden color with fairly long slow legs. First few sips are decent with the citrus remaining along with some wood tones. Fairly smooth with almost no burn, but not that complex in the finish. This Anejo is enjoyable, but I doubt I would buy a bottle. C+
