Simply put, amazing blanco. Tons of agave front, center, and exit. Bazooka Joe, mint, pear, lemon zest, just delicious.

Aroma: Alcohol, coconut, agave, cherry, chamomile. Palate: cherry, peppery, licorice, smoke, minerals. Finish medium with a hint of medicinal flavor

Older bottle, 2011 Marbete Bright nose: agave, coconut, cinnamon and tangerine. Palate: oily, agave, butter, hazelnut and light pepper. Some herbal notes towards the end. Nice finish, a bit sweet, but I’ll finish my glass tonight.

I wouldn't call this smooth by any stretch but it has a respectably complex bite for those who prefer their tequila a bit acid-forward.

Very quick rating, after aeration, in a good mood. I'll need to put it in a blind lineup another night. Really enjoying it now though.

36PBA6, marbete is from aprox. 2006. Aroma: balance between light sweet & salty agave, slightly minty & fresh, green notes, celery, light white pepper spiciness, light cooked tomato aroma. Palate: confirms aromas perceived on nose, ends slightly bitter and earthy. Finish is medium to long, balanced light sweet & salty agave notes persist.

I usually love everything from this NOM, but ... it’s good, just not great or unique enough. The reposado and anejo were much better and memorable. Nothing bad here, just ... meh .
