Tried a sample. Nice barrel nose with pepper on finish. Easy palate but not a lot going on. Price needs to be less for this one.

Notes on the nose were overwhelming dominated by ethanol. The profile was ok with hints of oak, pepper, but very little cooked agave present. The issue was the finish was defined by an ethanol burn. Even after airing it out a while not much changed. It was not terrible however at $170 I can’t justify recommending this. The majority of the influencers promoting this spend more time talking about it being women owned etc etc than the actual juice. But I’m the end I always suggest people make up their own minds. I may revisit and give it another try in a few weeks.

MJ/ANE/HV/001/23 Initial nasal impact is warming. Aroma: Cooked agave, caramel, cherry, prune, oak Buttery mouthfeel with sufficient alcohol. Flavor: Cherry and prune, cooked agave, caramel, baking spice, wood notes. Finish: Medium (wish it was longer because I really like this). A couple points off for finish and price

march 25, 2023 tried at pnw agave club event at mission cantina in seattle. nom 1412. only a few of us got to try about 1/2 oz each. I liked it but it was difficult to do it justice with such a small pour, and I didn't write down my notes. would have rated higher but points off for price

Loved the taste of this at a local event. I was one of half a dozen that were treated to about half ounce each. Enough to get the taste and not enough to really savor. Price of around $200 US holds this back but the melange of barrels has a well done and not overbearing influence on the aging of this spirit. This was the only NOM 1412 product available, the Reposado and Blanco were from 1499.

Liked everything about this Anejo except the price. Give it a point more for being limited

Mijenta Gran Reserve Añejo Overall - a light, above average tequila Nose - vanilla, light cooked agave, oak, and ethanol. Flavor - caramel, light oak and pepper. Found this at $130 and probably wouldn’t pull the trigger on it at this price point. I would range it around the $90 mark imo. I must say, I like a more full flavored drink. This is pretty tasty.. just a little light for my palate. I’ll revisit with a cigar another day.. I’d imagine this would be great with a full bodied cigar. Overall, I’d give it a 8/10.

Not a big fan of autoclave cooking and roller mill extraction, but nevertheless a good anejo that is too expensive.

Not that it isn't any good, but there's nothing unique or appreciable here. Unfortunately, this takes the same path as Fortaleza Anejo, nothing unique or appreciable as well. They both suffer the fate of having palate and aromas of Irish Whiskey, specifically Redbreast 12. Shortbread stands out all around on this one, too much! This is my first and only NOM 1412 from Mijenta. It will be unfortunate if their blancos and reposados from 1412 are this short of my expectations. This gets thrown at its box and has me pulling out and pouring actual Redbreast 12.

Great nose! Cherry-vanilla right up front followed by banana, buttercream, agave and oak. Silky mouthfeel. Has a “fine scotch” profile. Mildly sweet and smooth with some caramel, cherry, cocoa, cinnamon and spice right on through a lingering finish.

Amazing nose: AMAZING caramel, vanilla, agave, floral and buttery notes Amazingness continues on the palate. Definitely worth trying!!! But it’s really expensive (220€) Nonetheless love the mijenta brand and all their expressions but the value here is only a 4/10

Nose: This smells amazing and very inviting. I’m picking up soft notes of vanilla, honey, citrus, agave. Nothing overpowering and well balanced. I could literally smell this all day long! Palate: sweet, little to no burn, turns into notes of pepper, slight bitterness, dark chocolate, coffee Finish: Medium Conclusion: While steep for an Añejo the limited quantity and quality in the product explain some of the reason. I’d like to see it around $80-$100. Not upset with the purchase, happy to support people making tequila the right way!

Overall solid. Aroma is nice. Too much oak, lacking agave flavor. Finish is good. Points deducted for the price point.

Sweetness on the nose, citrus, feint oakiness. Complex mouthfeel. Oak appeared upfront but it quickly subsides and the agave comes out. Caramel, nice underlying sweetness throughout. Very little heat, very balanced with a lingering finish that makes it both easier to enjoy the flavor between sips but also begs you to sip again.
