NOM 1614 | Lightning in a bottle! This has an amplified sweetness from the concentration of agave sugars, it’s hot and sweet. This is a perfect fit for making high end cocktails, it could stand up to most ingredients and shine.

NOM 1599 | Stronger malolactic smell, brine, red crushed chili. Sweet agave flavor immediately. Higher proof very evident. What I like in a high proof. I will definitely enjoy this bottle.

NOM 1614 | The first batch of Blanco #10 out of TTap NOM 1614. Invest the time to let this one open up. Nose: At 54% ABV, I was braced for a slap of ethanol. But instead was greeted with warm and gentle sensations. Sweet and aromatic. In your face cooked agave. Floral, spicy and slightly tropical. Vanilla and green banana. Zest of lemon and lime. Cinnamon, trace nutmeg, anise, a quick grind of white pepper and a pop of minerals. Flavor: Robust pepper and viscous full bodied agave sweetness cling to the tongue and palate. Velvet like. Buttery. Salted caramel. Marzipan, vanilla, anise, a touch of brine. An undercurrent of tropical and dried fruits. This is a well crafted tequila.

NOM 1599 | On the nose, agave, grassy funk. Definitely some citrus, lime, orange rind. On the palate, full bodied cooked agave, that sweet potato-esque note, and some interesting salinity. Definitely some noticeable heat, I love high proofs but this is definitely a punchy one. Definitely a little vegetal and bitter on the finish. I’m going to be honest, this is a disappointment after the joven. The batch 1 joven was absolutely astonishing and this one is definitely a let down for me. As much as it surprises me to say this, I want to try the 80 proof because I don’t think the higher proof is doing this any favors. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but not $99 good.

NOM 1599 | Tasting Review for Cazcanes Blanco No. 10 Aroma: Enjoyed the entrance of this expression, roasted agave, buttery and caramelized sweetness, lime zest/citrus potency, and white pepper/aniseed nuances. The aroma personality on this one is very complex and inviting. Taste: Heavy cooked agave that just coats your mouth instantly with a buttery texture while showcasing a crisp framework. The heat you will receive from this blanco is with a punch of flavor and alcohol intensity is minimal. Another thing you will be able to perceive its some minerality, that comes from their water source. The finish will have some astringency, not bad as is something I enjoy from time to time. Aftertaste is very rich and leaves a harmonious lingering agave flavor. Price: $100

NOM 1599 | Nose: cooked agave, mineral, herbal, I get celery and cilantro, there’s citrus, lime zest, white pepper, and nice floral aroma at the top of the glass Flavor: spicy on entry, that of fresh picked jalapeños and white pepper, sweetness of cooked agave, lime juice, and a nice buttery mouth feel. Finish: is long with white pepper spice, a nice sweetness shows up, just a touch of bitterness. This is a well balanced tequila

NOM 1599 | Sampled at MBTC 2021. Aroma and flavor are both a great example of what a blanco tequila should be. The lack of dilution allows for the product to have a potent flavor. Although the proof is higher than what I prefer, it wasn't overpowering.

NOM 1614 | I want to see/taste/feel like everyone else. It’s natural. But try as I may, it does not connect with Cazcanes, and this No10 doesn’t do it for me, esp at the price point. Aroma is briney and muted. Taste is that of an unexpected wave of Galveston Gulf Seafoam that caught you with your mouth open…uninviting the desire for more. Finish is grassy but not bad. I can almost get two bottles of T110 for this and will in the future.

NOM 1614 | I love this tequila. Strong agave nose. Prominent agave taste with notes of brine and pepper. Nice smooth mouthfeel and clean finish. Is this pricey? Yes. Is it overpriced? Maybe. But is it great? Absolutely. I would probably get it again.

NOM 1614 | Salinity and metallic agave w/ hot finish. Very good. Can definitely taste the 108 proof. Prefer Wild Common SS but prefer Cazcanes over Don Fulano Fuerte. Edit: A little hot and a hint of bitterness. Decreasing rating.

The bottle this tequila is bottled in is truly impressive, exuding a high-end aura from the moment you lay eyes on it. When you first approach the bottle, you're greeted by subtle agave notes. There's a distinct hint of pine and perhaps even a touch of lime, making this tequila uniquely intriguing. Upon the first sip, it warms your palate as expected, offering a pronounced lime and vanilla flavor profile. It's a departure from the typical high-proof tequilas like Fortaleza, Siembra Valles, or Wild Common which often deliver powerful explosions of flavor. Instead, this tequila pleasantly surprises with its delicate yet complex taste, characterized by robust lime accents. The nose is equally delightful, with a floral bouquet complemented by mineral notes and a pronounced lime presence. The finish is a long and lingering one, leaving behind a peppery afterburn that adds to the overall experience. This tequila stands out not only for its impressive bottle but also for its unique and flavor profile. It's a departure from the norm for high-proof blancos, offering a smooth and complex character with a strong emphasis on lime. If you appreciate high-proof tequilas, this one is definitely worth a try.

NOM 1599 | NOM 1599 Complex nose! Not much burn considering the proof. Sweet, fruity and caramelized agave, herbaceous lavender and anise, white pepper, citrus, grass, lactic funk that reminds me of going to the Cheese House in Amish country. Medium oily mouth feel and long finish. Excellent in a margarita. Subbed a splash of fresh orange for orange liquor to let ‘er shine. Wish it were actually affordable. Great stuff. Lost a lot on value.
