Beautiful nose. Barrel notes galore. Fruit? Beautiful tears on the glass. Wow. This is a beautiful Añejo from start to finish. Even better than the repo. I’m impressed.

tasted at chris porters 10/22 tasted toward the end of 12 other tequilas so need to let this open and revisit. tried it again in san jose del cabo April 13, 2023. this was a newer lote (I think very recent, from 2023). I'm bumping my rating up a bit because it was quite good

On the nose, Vanilla, oak and sweet cooked agave. Citrus and caramel, candied orange peel, baking spices and cinnamon. This really has a lot going on. Dried fruit, maybe even a little banana. On the palate, Creamy, cooked agave and vanilla. I taste the oak, caramel, butterscotch. It’s very rich and the depth of flavor is very intense. Top 5 añejo for me. I tried this right alongside the reposado and the intensity of flavor is noticeable. Amazing tequila, great añejo, I’m willing to pay the price for this.

Since 1959, additive free. This is a delicious sipper.

Oak, vanilla, caramel, agave, pepper, butterscotch, toasted nuts, and a touch of apple. Great legs. When in the mood for a rich sweet Añejo, this is hard to beat.

Alll I can say is wow. Very good. Nice agave front with a little barrel and caramel and greatness.

On the nose, cinnamon, cooked agave, vanilla, anise, and hints of oak. The taste consists of a mild agave sweetness. On the finish, very dry, with minimal bite and lingering flavors of cinnamon.

I liike this. Not sweet per se this has an agave sweetness layered onto the barrel elements which add their wood notes of tree fruit, spice, toasted oak to the overall profile.

Like 80% of the reposado rare for 1/3rd of the price, it scratches the same itch for wonderfully aged tequileño. Would recommend anytime and whiskey lovers seem to dig it.

Definitely profiles more barrel than agave, but it’s really amazing. Caramel and nutmeg, this is all I’m going to drink this Christmas

Not your over the top sweet Anejo. Nicely balanced, what an Anejo should taste like when you don’t add additives.

Nose: Subtle, somewhat timid aromas abound. Spice and round fruit notes to begin. A warm allspice, cinnamon and clove spice blend. Citrus, dark cherries and ripe peaches. A leather and vanilla aroma. A light pepper that has a sweet nuance. A hint of butterscotch. Flavors: The flavors are more robust than the nosing. Fruit, dried fruit, spice and nuts: filberts and walnuts. Orange peel and salty toffee. It has building pepper and cinnamon heat that carries a punch, but backs off pretty quickly. Perfect amount of oak presence for my tastes. This has great balance and is my favorite expression of the new Round Bottle releases.

Fruit, dried fruit, vanilla, raisin, oak aromas. Oak, barrel spice, and vanilla flavor. Finish is spicy, with leather, and has a black pepper ending.

Aromas of dried pitted fruit (apricot, plum), whisky, slight clove. Nice, rich mouthfeel, honey taste with a surprising tobacco finish. A mix of 2 yr and 6 yr aged tequilas.

This is one of my all time favorites! The flavor profile does it for me. Dynamnic flavors with a super long finish!

Nose cinnamon, and vanilla cooked agave. Taste. Caramel flan muted agave Mild spice with medium finish.

Nose: butter, grass and brown sugar Palate: nicely balanced blend of cooked agave, toffee and caramel Finish: smooth and soft El Tequileno offers a great anejo at a good price. A thoroughly enjoyable sipper.

A fruity punch in the mouth. Overall good.

Strong barrel notes on the nose and palate. Oak, vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon, & caramel. The barrel spices / cinnamon are the highlights here. Makes this bottle a fantastic sipper / nightcap without overpowering the agave. Bonus points for being priced in the ~$85 range where similar products can go for $100+

Aroma is decent but not strong. Agave forward with oak, some musky alcohol follows but not enough to turn me off. Finish is the same and lingers a bit. It’s good but not my favorite, depends on the value, think it’s a bit over priced, I might pay $60 for it.

aroma: bit of butterscotch, alcohol, agave, little funk, wet earth flavor: butterscotch, spice, finish: long, spicy, not harsh but not the smoothest ever, nice buttery flavor at the end overall a good anejo, took points off for value bc i paid high 80 USD for it - 60 range would be more aligned with this profile.

Great Agave forward Anejo. Well balanced without too much barrel taste. I would pick in a bar over a Patron or Don Julio. However not as good as Siete Laguas.

Very smooth, tasty tequila. Great barrel notes with a lingering agave finish. There is a slight funky note I can’t quite name that am not a fan of, and I prefer some tequilas which cost less so that brought my rating down a little. Still an excellent additive free choice.
