The word organic appears 10 times on the bottle but no mention of the vanilla syrup left behind from an evaporation test!
10/1/22 Don Abraham AÑEJO single estate organic NOM 1480 Nose caramel vanilla whiskey agave a little cinnamon and a little smoke Palate first taste immediately i get oak which dissipates into sweet cooked agave Finish sweet vanilla and a hint of heat Medium/long finish with sweet agave and warmth that sits on the back not ur throat. Very pleasant
Nice agave, caramel, and pack flavoring. Plank pepper rounds this one out. Slight bit of earthiness, slight floral and chocolate notes. Very nice anjeo.
Light gold in color, similar to mead. The nose brings out deeper notes of caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, nutmeg, and oak. A nice, clean consistency, with a slight natural tasting sweetness. On the finish, very smooth, tastes very similar to biting into fresh out of the oven cooked agave, with a blend of vanilla, caramel, and baking spices. A mellow and smooth finish that leaves a nice warmth. Definitely a good everyday sipper of an añejo.
Oak, caramel, vanilla, agave, banana, and pepper all balanced really nice with good legs and a long finish. Great for folks who want something sweet and inviting.
This is a great tequila at a great price, the smell of agave hits you right away. a little peppery at the end but goes down without a lot of burn.
Full agave on the nose and a nice caramel follow
Aroma: smoke, earth, cedar wood, walnuts, spices, cloves, toffee,. Palate; earth and spices, caramel agave, cinnamon, cooked agave, black pepper and pepper corns. Finish: chocolate, caramel, agave, smoke, clove and spices. Not a mixer tequila!
Wonderfully balanced and exceptionally made. Oaky, nutty, roasted almonds, vanilla and toffee/caramel come through. Nice, oily finish.
Nose: Walnuts, filberts, toffee, dusty/dry earth, trace cedar, ripe dark fruit, and caramelized agave. Flavor: Vanilla, almond/hazelnuts, salted caramel, “ jerk hot” barrel spice, cinnamon and black pepper burn on the back of the palate. Popping spice notes, yet silky in the mouth. Finish: A well crafted, balanced and exciting profile that I could drink all evening.
Nice hints of oak and vanilla
Old style bottle with metal foil label. Caramel and barrel spice along with a fair bit of agave present in the mouth when sipped.
Great anejo. Chocolate touch, oiliness, richness of flavor, but not sweet.
I love the agave punch in the face but it’s a little sweet for me.
Nice
Baking spices (vanilla cinnamon) - like making cookies Sweet scent Dinishbis great
LOTE 178ADA Color: yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, a hint of maple honey, a hint of metallic note, vanilla, very light wood note, aromas are pretty intense. Palate: confirms aromas perceived on the nose, at the very end it becomes slightly astringent maybe due to barrel aging. Finish is medium to long, light sweet cooked agave with vanilla and wood notes persist.
3rd tequila Not additive free, too sweet. very dark for anejo. use for mixing only.
I found this at my local Whole Foods and gave it a shot. I feel like it has a bit too much of the barrel, in that it’s a bit too whiskey like and sweet. However if you’re looking for a gateway from whiskey to tequila, or want to give a gift of tequila to someone who likes whiskey, this might be the ticket. I couldn’t taste much of any agave, but it does smell nice and is priced really well.
Lots of vanilla & caramel.
Great flavor in the woodsy notes and smooth. This is one that my bourbon friends will often gravitate to in addition to Dobel Anejo. Both have that great bourbon barrel feel.
Big agave forward nose and taste. Just pure agave all the way and nothing else. $49.99 + $2.64 shipping
Don Abrahams Anjeo $50 USD (Saratoga Wine Exchange) Summary: Excellent, easy sipping anjeo that won't break the bank. Don't overlook this value anjeo. Nose: Surprisng. Wasn't expecting the earthy, mushroom yeasty vibe thay get with Pasote and Laud blancos. Transitions to sweet vanilla toffee, cooked agave, and cinnamon. Followed by walnuts, cedar, and pepper. Taste: I immediately get Carmel and vanilla with a natural sweetness. Cooked agave, oak, and baking spices round out the mid palate. Chocolate and whiskey notes round out the taste. Finish: Semi-sweet vanilla-almond with buildup of warm cinnamon.
a great value to start. 45-60 which is low to average. flavors are amazing and naturally sweet. though not confirmed additive free...I believe this brand is. natural vanilla and agave right up front with a slight chocolaty finish. this is a fantastic Sip. @anejo_bros

Notes: apple pie, spiced up, honey, oak, baking spices, cinnamon, pepper, musty. Cooked agave was lost since this is a barrel forward expression
