NOM 1142 | NOM 1142 - Decent cheap tequila for margaritas at a party or bar. Soft with a slightly harsh ending, but not smooth. Not a sipping tequila. Cooked agave definitely there, but nothing else.
NOM 1142 Aroma is alcoholic and the taste is medicinal. There is some cooked agave though, and the texture is a bit better than the Añejo. 1.75L for $20 isn't bad though.
NOM 1142 | You wanna hate on things that are masses produced but there just isn’t anything to hate here. Smells and tastes like proper agave, nothing elite, just plods along delivery what any tequila should. Vacation approved!
Good mixer on a budget but not a sipper. This is made by NOM 1472, the same number that appears on the bottle of Cielo. The distillery is Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, S.A.
NOM 1472 | Only OK to sip this blanco is great in the 1.75L bottle for infusions, margaritas and palomas. Aromas of agave and some alcohol. Citrus and some roast agave on the palate. Short finish that fades to some sweetness.
NOM 1472 | NOM 1472. Only good for mixed drinks
NOM 1472 | I guess you could use this for shots or frozen margaritas. Maybe stick it in some Jello? If all you've got is $20 for 1.75 liters, then you're probably not sipping. I'd recommend it over the Cuervo mixtos. I use it for infusions.
NOM 1173 | Nothing objectionable except that it pales in comparison to actually good tequila. I question what “fully matured, estate grown agave” really means. Tastes under-ripe, lacks aroma, flavor and finish. But $26/1.75L makes an enjoyable margarita that keeps my partner from using one of the $70 Blancos on the shelf. “It’s fine”
Great for palomas
NOM 1173 | Strong agave with grain alcohol flavor. Fair.
Strong alcohol flavor, cheaply made, and the taste reflects that.
Hmmmm…Alcohol- Ethanol- wait is that agave I taste- not sure. This was our go to mixer for the week at the beach- never near for sure.
hey, for a mixer... this is great in my ranch waters.
good mixing tequila, new packaging
Bent smell; medicine taste
great price for a tequila to make your margaritas.
NOM 1472 | One of the best bargain blancos. Great for making drinks. Not a lot of complexity on the nose or taste. A lot of agave some notes of cut grass. A little sweet but not overly.
aroma: Burnt agave with some floral notes taste: initially sweet agave with hints of oak and smoky flavor finish: harsh medicinal and burnt flavor with hints of oak similar to a mezcal. Definitely not a sipper, but recommend with mixed drinks
1142 NOM
NOM 1142 | Bland, fine mixer but not getting much flavor depth. Agave aromas
NOM 1438 | A score of 33 is being slightly generous. Some people are saying there’s value in it as a mixer. Maybe only if you value tequila with hardly any taste of agave. Skip it!
Great value for Margaritas and Paloma's.
NOM 1472 | Super cheap. Not a sipper. Maybe, just maybe a mixer. Barely at that.

NOM 1142 | Awesome value. Nicely made from a contract distillery. 1.75 bottle under $30. Great for mixing cocktails. Not unbearable to sip alone
