After a couple of sips you start to get an aftertaste that I’ve only gotten in Tequilas with additives. Still not very offensive, the rest of the flavours are decent enough.

It’s nice to see the follow through if barrel aging had a positive effect....the extra time in oak was well worth the wait! The nose and flavour match really well, agave is present and the oak is just doing enough to be part of the chorus. I’m a fan.

Very oaky and barrel char. Getting a lot of dried fruit and cherries. Smoky with a bit of wet hay. Very rustic tequila but im on the fence with this.

Nose: First impression of smoke, bourbon oak, and an aroma of a cedar humidor. Some cellar notes, citrus and vanilla. Hints of ripe cherry. Flavors of caramel, orange/cinnamon and pepper heat. Some latent oak and cedar. Pretty solid. Mexican 38% version.

Aromas of caramel and pitted fruit ( guayabana?). Sweet smelll and taste but not too sweet. decent cantina sipper. Medium light mouthfeel.

Tasted the 38% Mexican version. Spicy cinnamon and agave initially which turns to some slight bitter oakiness on the long numbing finish. Surprising finish actually for 38% alcohol. I like it.

Mexican 38% abv. versión, marbete is from 2006, tasted on 10-21-23. Color: dark yellow to light brown. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light aromatic wood, vanilla, light toffee note, light earthiness, a touch of acidic note. After 30 minutes in the glass the wood note becomes more dominating and astringent. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and acidic balance, with the wood note in the background. Finish is medium to medium long, light sweet cooked agave with vanilla & wood notes persist. Note to self: drink this tequila right after serving, don’t wait too long.

Smoky, strong vanilla aroma and flavor and also have a sent and flavor that lead the thought to the smell of horse stable.
