I've had worse...but it is what it is!

Tasted blind. It was sweet and moderately artificial. Made me think the process was rushed, which it is. In fairness, i would probably like this over other rushed products that are more expensive.

Difficult to find any prominent aromas or flavors here. There's an artificial/chemical/medicinal aroma here that doesn't smell like the type of traditionally-made tequilas I like.

Nose: There is something reminiscent in the aromas that take me back to my college Cuervo shooting days. There is no agave. I get alcohol, pepper and a bile like bitterness. Flavor: Bitter hot start, with astringent notes, followed by an “off” sweetness. I honesty could not get myself to swallow this...

Aroma is highly vegetal with notes of agave, green grass, hay and a slight bit of citrus. Flavor has an brief, initial sweetness followed by bitter almond and then overwhelmed with peppery spice. The mouthfeel is a bit watery and despite the big blast of spicy flavor the finish is relatively short. Overall, the aroma-flavor-finish seems a bit disconnected on this one. 9/6/2015

Blind rated. Aroma of cooked agave, pepper and alcohol, with a faint note of acetone. A lot of cooked agave in the palate, citrus, maybe orange blossom and some alcohol burn, which leaves some numbness on the lips and the point of the tongue. Also a slight glycerin coating on the palate. Non the less a good juice, only probably a little augmented.

Aroma is sweet candy, flowers, very nice on the nose. Flavor: hard to find the cooked agave but there is some in the background, some mixed spice, earth. Finish: good finish, long with hint of chili peppers.

From a blind tasting. Some astringent notes that are not all from alcohol on the nose. Similar to one in mouth feel, with less tip of tongue tingle and more side of tongue buzz. Quite a bitter finish which I don't generally expect from blanco. Tried this 3 separate times and it is a no-go for me. Worst of the blancos.

nose is a little anti septic. strong pepper, slight citrus, but burn to high. strong white pepper nose is actually nice, but the burn of the after taste and the aroma are too much to over come.

While the nose is passable (just barely) the flavor is so bad that I had to spit it out.

Smooth but I’m disappointed knowing they use a diffuser. I’ve been drinking this for awhile it’s fine but I prefer small batch.

Light agave and alcohol on the nose. I’m getting a little bit of a floral scent in there as well. The agave is more present on the palate, but quickly gives way to a lot of heat. Mouthfeel is fine. Not very silky, but not flat either. Nothing crazy here.

This bottle was gifted to me aprox. 2012, no marbete, there is a small white label in the rear that states: No. 4722333. There are very small floating particles inside the bottle. Aroma: light vanilla note, slightly bitter, light cooked agave note, citrus, fresh, alcohol sensation is medium high. Palate: slightly bitter, light vanilla, light citrus, light cooked agave note. Finish is medium to medium short, light vanilla with citrus and bitterness persists but not for long.

Honestly, the worst tequila I’ve ever tasted. I am extremely disappointed even though I knew this wasn’t the type of tequila I liked, but I didn’t expect it to be so artificial and it taste nothing like tequila. Spent $50 on this I wouldn’t spend even 10 on it. I won’t even be finishing the bottle. Waste of $50. I actually can’t believe how terrible this tequila is.

Off top; the aroma I get is sweetness and cashew with tender spikes of agave and orange citrus followed by alcohol. Not an aroma that assaults but also not anything remarkable. There is a particular familiar smell found in this and others of its ilk. The initial taste is quite easy on the tongue and oaky fruitiness coats the tongue along with citrus and a perfume taste that I do not care for, almost like a forced floral. This is my first triple distilled drink and it certainly takes the peppery bite away rather swiftly. The dry down is a mixed bag for me. I like the fruity fade away and trails of toned down peppery heat but simulataneously don't like that the fruity lingerings turns synthetic and off putting. I don’t particularly enjoy this Blanco and it is going to be a unwelcomed chore to finish the bottle.

Agave smells young. Kinda sweet. Very citrus. Some veg but not in a great way. Balance is weird. Short finish. Peppery. Not terrible. But not great. Makes a tasty, but unremarkable Paloma & margarita. Bought by mistake, thinking it was Cenobio batch Volume 1. At $40, hard nope.

Very heavy alcohol aroma. Tastes very black peppery - almost overwhelmingly so. Sweet at first then Spicy finish that lingers - not that it’s a bad thing. Some botanicals.

Tres Generaciones bottles a bouquet of flavor and Sauza tradition

Bottled in elegant, curvy bottles whose labeling reflects three generations of Sauza tequila, Tres Generaciones at first might seem like Sauza's attempt at an artisanal tequila.
