Somehow barrelling average tequila can make it worse, who knew?!?

Antiseptic aroma, front of mouth burn that lingers. I think this is going to make me feel like vinazas tomorrow.

too much barrel taste. the agave gets lost.

Aroma is very agave. Flavor is sweet almost like syrup. I would not drink this again as I feel it is not genuine. I would recommend to a person getting i to tequila as it exaggerates tequila taste.

Nose: tons and tons of wood. Vanilla but in an extract sort of way. Taste: oak, maybe a little smoke?, vanilla, almost bourbon-y. Soft and muted, uninteresting finish.

Really good for cooking, gives excellent flavor to meats. Gives an ok amount of flavor to cocktails

I have played with this repo using variance letting it air or “breathe.” It does calm the profile and allow more deep oak flavor that whiskey lovers will like. Through constant experimentation of evaporation (using hydrometer) and adding a few drops of purified water, it is possible to play with this one to adjust to your desired “bite” or “heat” feeling. Good value for a repo.

Smells of oak and oranges. A lot of oak on the palate, some subtle agave, vanilla and caramel. For $25 this was much better than expected.

Well , I never thought I’d be giving a JC product such a great review , but damn, this 1800 reposado is pretty darn good . It’s doesn’t reek of fakeness . Aromas are subltle … agave, oak, caramel, the taste is even better ! Good kick of those flavors , nice and warm . I’m really surprised ! I’d give it a “ heck yeah “ for sure !

Smooth…. A bit thin on the tongue. Nice consistent warmth all the way through.

Rear printed: 005 03 248 21:09 B. Marbete from 2003. Color: dark yellow. Nose: bright wood spiciness, vanilla, light cooked agave, mineral, slight herbaceous, ethanol slightly too present. Palate: warm wood spiciness mixed with vanilla sweetness that feels slightly unnatural, menthol, almost can’t perceive cooked agave. Finish is medium to long and the wood spiciness with vanilla sweetness persists. Buttery finish that also feels unnatural.
