On the nose there are hints of sweet caramelized cooked agave, natural vanilla bean, faint wood tannins and a hint of ripe fruit. I taste the cooked agave and some caramel sweetness. The wood tannins kick in and add some barrel spice. The finish is equally sweet and spicy. It’s clean and easy to sip. While only in a barrel for 2 months this tequila certainly picked up some character. It’s a good sipper for people new to tequila or sipping spirits neat. This Reposado will also do well in cocktails. It’s very versatile and affordable.
