Soft nose little agave, soft palate and finish. Not bad, not amazing
Loses points for price
tried at de la o in Guadalajara Oct 2023 agave forward, herbal, some barrel notes, with some wood but not overwhelming would like to revisit foe more notes
Like this Joven over the Lidia. A little pricey. Flavor profile is unique, interesting nose, wood notes, herbal, light spice. Easy sipper
Loses a few extra points for price.
Anniversario Joven 41%
Aromas of cooked agave, anise, and brown sugar. Taste of oak, brine, and carmel.
Excellently crafted. Has a great citrus note, slight barrel influence, with a mineral and agave backbone provided by the Blanco mixed in. Would be an amazing regular drinker if more affordable.
Smooth. Perfection.
Nose- mineral, honey, citrus, mint Palate- cooked agave, honey Finish - cooked agave, light pepper, citrus
This one opens up beautifully as it sits in the glass. Both aroma and taste evolves in a lovely adventure.
* Would rate higher than 90 if I included value* To me the aroma is prominently minerality and smoke. Subtle nuances of honey and caramel emerge, with an absence of discernible ethyl notes while noticing underlying earthiness, a hint of grassiness, and freshness. With tasting there is a complex array of flavors. The dominant notes include cooked agave, essence of zesty lime citrus, persistent minerality, subtle smoke, and a nuanced reminiscence of cherry-coke cream soda. Brown sugar imparts a subtle sweetness, while a brief yet swiftly departing pepperiness adds a pleasant element to the overall taste. In the finish, is a delicate interplay of soft smoke and lingering agave. Subtle grassiness and minerality persist, with a very faint presence of brine. Notably, the minerality continues to resonate on the tongue long after sipping, leaving a lasting imprint to savor. Enjoyable and multifaceted.
Complex mix with the true agave base we like in our blanco selections. This joven is mixed with 2 month repo and the result is perfection. If you’ve enjoyed the high proof/blanco from siembra valles in the past then you need to get this in your cabinet asap. Purchased at $130 USD which I thought was fair given the special nature of the juice.
Bottle: Batch 10/13/12, LOTE 371, 030423 Appearance: Dark hay Full review pending…
My first Joven and I was blown away. Complex yet easy to drink. Will revisit when I drink again and let it open up.
LOTE 371, bottled on 110423, tasted on 10-13-23. Color: yellow. Nose: intense sweet cooked agave! Pepper spiciness, light herbaceousness, light green note, resinous sweetness, light stone fruit sweetness, slightly earthy, citrus. Minty. After 30 minutes in the glass, wood notes emerge, it is not impregnating but doesn’t improve the tequila either. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and acidic balance. Finish is medium to long, sweet cooked agave with aromatic herbs, earthy & minty notes persist.
Very smooth mouthfeel. Starts herbaceous and a little grassy then opens up beautifully on the palate. The warm finish stays pleasantly in your mouth.
Great aroma. Peppery, floral, minty flavor. A little heat for 41% abv. High price point for a joven that's a repo aged 2 mo with a blanco. Tasting event with David Suro (Great)!
Lovely aroma is very agave-forward. It pulls me in to taste it. The taste is agave, spicy, peppery, very fresh. The finish had slight heat, but I think it will mellow with more time. Honored to hear David Suro tell the story of the making of this anniversary expression, as I sip it!
The sweetness on the nose belays the amazing agave burst on the mouth! This is my first Joven and seems like a great way of getting the best of the Blanco with some of the barrel sweetness of a repo!
Great nose, agave, floral, citrus, anise/cinnamon, peppery even, strong finish but settles in, very interesting blend here from 1123, highly recommend, would buy again for sure. Can’t wait to see how it opens up

Aroma of really nice scent of cooked and raw agave, perfect, not too faint and not too overpowering. Additionally hints of leather, cedar, menthol and mineral. Flavor of a nice balanced agave bomb, caramel, light brown sugar, and a really pleasant finish. Have tssted Jovens and made my own (who doesn't make their own single glass blends, right?) but this is a well balanced and blended marriage of the Blanco and Repo. Price was high, yes but I'd pay it again for this one, minimal points deducted for price. I know I'm rating higher than most but some personal preference overshadows impartiality on this one. Great sipper, your finisher for the night.
